Now yet another band of showers set to slide 5 miles west as the winds have turned NE, unbelievable the lengths the snow shield will go to

As usual exploded east and west of here, nothing but drizzle and odd spot of rain here despite -6 uppers
The way it keeps missing telford is crazy, it quite often happens with heavy rain too. Any reason people mite know of?

Just to confirm to all the people that might be worried, Telfords snow shield is in full force and has not broken.
The last three days all the showers have literally gone round us!
Oh well upgrades again tonite so fingers crossed:-)

The showers keep building in wales however once again the bulk of them south of here

So after posting earlier defending the met office forecast, they update giving me an 80% chance of heavy snow at 9am! Can't see where that is going to come from.
Yea too right, unless that cell out in mid wales keeos building? But showers from mid wales never reach west mids usually?

I wouldn't be surprised to pick up the odd snow shower at any point this weekend. Seems even 6 hours away they can't establish the track of the precip.

Plus if last nights ended further south would that mean we are in colder air than planned?
They seam alot happier in the mod thread anyway. Its was getting unbearable in there last nite after the 18z came out

Everything way to south!
A light covering but wen we i say light i mean it.
Lets hope something crops up over next 3-4 days as has been proven from last night even 7-8 hours out the charts are really struggling.

I sm just watching the radar for next week the forecasters are really struggling to nail anything atmSundays possible snow event huge downgrade just on bbc weather.
System only gets into South coast. It got all the way into the Midlands
on earlier forecasts with snow over us.
I hope Tuesdays event doesn't go tits up but I've got a bad feeling it will!

The facts remain this is the best cold spell for two years and there is snow chances coming up.
You lot best as anyone should know the models are indications and anything can happen when snow is concerned, just look at boxing day!
So please for everyones sake take a chill pill and relax.
The facts will always remain we are an island surrounded by warm water with weather influenced by the jet stream!

Well im loving loving loving the bbc news24 weather update just now....oh yeah they are talking multiple sliders with snow and more snow and more snow...think she even mentioned a very snowy breakdown if it did occur.....
Saw that, could be an interesting week ahead!!! :-))))))))

Over 100m of rain in upper catchment in next 72 hours with levels already high!

The rain band has really broken across wales poor forcasting by BBC they had heavy rain all day we have barely had anything of note.

Gfs is showing no real end to the rain next week. Wst about other models. Still very strong gusts in cardiff

In cardiff today after a terrible drive from telford through worcester and hereford (not by choice) water everywhere and winds are really picking up now think an early check in to the hotel required!!
