I wouldn't be to upset if the snow misses me completely i'm just happy that it will be snow and not rain for once.

If i see a flake or if I don't I wont be that interested, it is yet another marginal setup for my area so it's not worth investing the time. For the people in greater higher altitudes in greater manchester you should be rather happy though

Looks like it may be a tad milder for the Christmas period, I think the term "mild" is springing up to much at the moment though. It'll be around 4-5 degrees daytime here for the most part so not exactly mild. mild is what we had last year in the double digits. Currently it looks like we might have a colder new years period, so hopefully new year, new snow instead of new me. I've failed that resolution every time so fingers crossed the weather delivers. Anything can and will happen though so may the farce be with you.

The forecast from the meto 5 hours ago showed absolutely no ppn over this way at all at 3pm. a lake effect has taken place and looks to be intensifying more and more.
