Firstly yeah i'm aware the problem i have with Wales regional is that they are all from the south of Wales and very few members from the North post in there anyway maybe around 30-40 from the South and 5 in the North say i wonder whether they should divide it up perhaps. Secondly i recollect that a few of the other members in here class my area as kind of in the North West anyway i am like 5 miles from the border anyway! .Also my post was to demonstrate how marginal this is because by the sounds of it go another 20 miles north of here and you have around half of the snow cover. Also i won't be a grammar nazi and point out your slight spelling mistakes there
He's right, he may from Wales but we gave him the key to the northwest, I wonder how nebo is doing in Conwy. My caravans up there!

Met office have upgraded me to snow all day!!!! Yeah
Don't get 3cm!
1 minute ago, I Cumbria Marra I said:Praying for one covering of snow at the very least this winter, coming up 5 years since the last one (Jan 2013) which also melted within a day, last covering we had which stuck around for more than a day was in December 2010, absolute joke.
We'll get something more this winter for all of us I'm sure, we may need deep cold for an extended period of time and that's looking more like in early January.
-
Well at least it's better than last winter so far, that's a good start. maybe we will have much better luck on our next chance

If this snow was a sausage, it would be the wurst.

Rest assured if it is plausible to affect us last minute warnings will take place. If we had tomorrow's weather today we would be very happy indeed.
this made no sense

Im really not fussed but i jave nagging feeling were missing something
Personally at this point I can imagine us seeing a small covering of snow under around 4 hours of persistent light snow after an uneventful period overnight.
it isn't impossible for this slider low to go much north than expected and the Met know that. I'm afraid it is definitely a nowcast situation, in around 12 hours we will see the outcome I just wish I could be more excited about it.

Has the precipitation charts ever got it wrong this far out do you know?
Totally and a lot of the time.

Well well well, what a sensation tomorrow will be.
i would be rather depressed as I had been heavily invested in tomorrow's event but for one the southward corrections have been coming on for a while and it would have been very possible that snow ( not rain) would still have been marginal for my area I reckon.
number two ( haha number two) slider lows are awful, intrepid and volatile beasts. It could actually still go were ever the hell in wants tomorrow and we'd still be sat here twiddling are thumbs thinking what the hell's going on. You may be surprised tomorrow.

That looks like an upgrade from the 06Z vs last nights run. Still time for a push north.
I agree with you BT, we've all been around here long enough to know how volatile these systems can be.
about 2 and a half hours and we will definitely know a lot more.

Its snowing hard in clock face
Is that we're you are mate? I normally reside in prescot. Currently in the magical land of golborne until this afternoon. Fingers crossed the showers pass this way
-
Just drove through hindley and they were having a very heavy snow shower, it's raining just a little bit east of St. Helens!
-
As ever I am more worried that there will be some marginality for my area tomorrow over in Liverpool, will the northwest see a lot of precipitation? It most definitely will.
-
There hasn't been that large of a shift from the gfs, the mod thread keep looking at the worst precipitation models ever invented to top it off though.
-
It's too close now to see a shift so significant, gonna be good at least for the south of the region, the north could still get a slice but it won't track out of the northwest.
