Stayed up to 2am last night and by that time we had a bout half an inch, this morning I would say four inches. So not bad for somewhere 100 yards from the North Sea. Temperature now -1c
Still snowing in Lowestoft. I suppose being the most easterly point we will be the last bit of land to be snowed on until it hits the North Sea. Well goodnight from me. Tomorrow is for sledging with the kids. Bye.
I think we might end up with a good half an inch of snow in Lowestoft. I'm very happy with that. Waited about 4 days for it after reading the model discussion thread and they got it right. Well done.
I like your Avatar Ian. I'm thinking that is Herringfleet Mill. Don't worry about the snow because I have a feeling for once in our lives Lowestoft will be at the very top of the list of heaviest falls tonight and tomorrow. That front is working out perfect for us.
The things I do for you MK. It's perishing out there. Still snowing, just took this snap of the trees just back from the beach. Would you believe they are having a fishing competition on North Beach. Hardy souls.
Still snowing here, now looking quite pretty. If it keeps up like this we won't need that Atlantic front to drop snow as we are getting it all from the North Sea.
Took this about 13.15 just before we had a very light snow shower. The North Sea is out of shot to the right, so you can see by the wind turbine that the wind direction is now from the west.
