YELLOW WARNING of ICE
A colder, westerly, air stream will follow Sunday's frontal band bringing heavy wintry showers and wet surfaces to many areas during Sunday evening and night.
Clear skies between showers are expected to allow temperatures to fall to or just below freezing at times resulting in a risk of icy stretches forming on untreated surfaces.
Some areas of the United Kingdom will also see a covering of snow. Snow amounts will generally be small, mostly accumulating on vegetation, however more persistent and heavy snow is expected over the higher ground of western and central Highland and the southern Grampians. See separate warning for snow.
The public should be aware of the potential for some disruption to travel.

Met office have removed all warning for the northwest only risk of snow is now showing in scotland
No surprises there. So much downgrades this winter, It doesn't hurt my feelings one bit.

Only see anything wintry today that Winter Hill is snowcapped this morning. That means snow isn't too far away now.

Just had heavy hail storm here and now snowing. Roads treacherous coming through Westhoughton and traffic grid - locked.
That is a example how unexpected weather could bring.
Surprise snow + Rush hour = Whole town goes lock down.

I'm guessing the west pennine moors will have a first good pasting of the season.
It could've been heavy hail. Its hard to know because its dark. My friend who lives in Coppull had snow lying on the pavement. Its about roughly an cm of it.

Is it me or is the rain trying to sleet here? There is bits of white in the rain. Its only 5C here too.
I meant was ice were in the raindrops and I pretty sure the snowline wouldn't be too far up, probably just above Winter Hill's height. I only just judging by it.

Yes it is so frustrating. But we have to live with it. I'm getting a bit worried we never see any snow at this rate. I bet this year's Summer will be just as disappointing as Winter no doubt. But still we have to live with it.

I think this winter is the most snow-free since 2007-08 here. I'm not gonna even bother post here until anything interesting winterwise.
Mild winter = Boring.

I just heard on the radio (London Heart) that someone only just put the power back on after the Christmas storms. The DJ says that is a long time.

Despite the 12z misery North America at least warming up at last. Also Eastern Europe is cooling down too. That means weaker low pressure systems. Don't give up coldies the cold will show on the models any time from now on. This failed easterly is just the start.

I'm HERE!! Another day, another sad one for coldies. The today's 12z is still quite poor for anything showing cold. At this rate we be seeing more flood misery. The Ceurden Valley near me is gonna flood soon. i saw a huge lake of water on a field this morning, down in the valley.

Looks like the 12z want us bring mild and very wet weather back. Just sick of it. It won't help either and only bring more misery to the country.
