  1. Next time for this setup make sure the cold air mass originates from the East/north east then followed by this set-up it be more colder then!! Then everyone will get snow from it. After all the coldest air mass during this time is from Scandinavia/continent.
  2. Fingers crossed for a good hailstorm, it is a good alternative to snow after all, at least for us lowlanders.
  3. This is one of the snow drifts I've mentioned. Not much but it is evident in Chorley. Guessing luck and height makes a difference in this setup.
  4. I guess about 1-2 cms drifts against the walls in chorley but it is mostly melted by now and slushy mess on the pavements leading out of town. If it were a little colder we would've done well out of this.
  5. Just caught the bus to Chorley and it has bit more snow lying on the ground than where I live in Clayton le woods. Crazy!!
  6. Just checked on Ventusky's ICON forecast and it's looking really good for us today! I say Ormskirk eastwards, snow from 12pm to 3pm we could be looking at 3-4 hrs of snow falling. 7. Just had a power cut this evening. Power is back online now. I think expecting snow to start for a hour then rain/sleet rest of tommorow until Friday when it's turns back to snow for a day maybe. Happy New Year Everyone!! My first post this year. Major power cut hits Leyland plunging thousands into darkness - LancsLive WWW.LANCS.LIVE More than 8,500 properties in the PR25 postcode were affected
  8. Apparently the next storm had already been named: GB News @GBNEWS UK Weather: 'Snowbomb' to hit on December 27 as Storm Corrie drives blizzards across Britain No it isn't too bloody early!!
  9. Just looked at the radar and looks like the eye-wall/trough is approaching.
  10. Snow chances probably gonna be nowt until after Xmas now. It is getting windier here now. It's still not as windy as last storm so far.
  11. Not surprised the warning had cancelled I've seen the hills near Chorley didn't have any snow, even Winter Hill.
  12. I think chances is better if the next few runs shows the storm shifts further south. Maybe 50-100 miles south, that would drag in even colder temps/dews. Fingers crossed. Got like 3-4 runs to go yet before Tuesday. We'll see.
  13. Very frankly all this recent weather, tonight included had the Met Office screwed big time, regarding the weather warnings. The wind outside is horrendous!!
  14. Heaviest snow since January/Febuary here now. Sticking everywhere!! Flakes size of 50ps!!
  15. Its trying to stick here now. Seen some muddy patches turned white. Maybe not for long now because its gone heavy now!!
