-
Just had a hail storm here in Leyland and it was quite heavy and very gusty too.
-
nice!Heavy shower of rain, sleet, hail and snow in Morercambe. Temps are still aroung 4oc so its looking good later on tonight for inland areas if were getting a wintry mix already at 3 asl lol
-
I bet the big shower in the Irish sea could bring very very stormy winds with it. Hopefully some snow at the back edge of it. I think it will make landfall about 9ish.
-
hail that just landed 20 minutes ago hadnt melted at all here. That is a good sign.
-
Wind is certainly getting colder here now after the wintry shower I having. I can feel it in my bones.
-
Both. it is so heavy I havnt seen this bad before my life! It just got very very windy I guessing around 60mph gusts in there.Rain or snow???
-
OMG!! IT IS ABSOLUTELY PASTING IT DOWN HERE!! IT MUST BE A SUPER CELL INVOLVED HERE!!
ITS A HURRICANE OUT HERE!
-
I heard multiple police sirens here. It must be something got blown down.
-
The rain is getting sleety here. Keep it going! saw some ice as the rain landed on my window.
-
Very Very stormy here now.

our favourite weather presenter diane oxberry coming on soon.

dont forget the windchill factor it will freeze tonight under clear skies, between the showers. Can't see anything sticking even if it snow its so so so so wet.
even by the mild sector it will still freeze between showers tomorrow night. While I play Jewel crusher on Iphone it just froze just no reason whatsoever. strange. Freezing rain probably just caused it perhaps.

well it doesnt have to be look not snowy it did it in Leyland few weeks ago. Its been rained than turned to snow pretty fast. Plus it did it when I went to Sweden it just look like rain clouds but it is not. They just clouds. There is no such thing as a snow/rain clouds.Temp now at 6c.
The sky certainly doesnt look snowy at all
were next.In the Scotland thread they are having sideways whiteout blizzards...
If the skies clear long enough we may actually be lucky.

what? really? nonsense. There will be no mild weather whatsoever. Because the winds will be directly from the arctic. They just lying as usual. When is the weather forecast for the week ahead on BBC 1 on?0600 Tuesday morning
850 Temps of -7c and DP of -3c
Safe to say any showers will be of snow at first Tuesday, problem later in the day is the very brief return of milder air
which will turn showers to sleet/rain especially on low ground, before turning colder once again

its groundhog day and they are predicting end of winter in the US. I really disagree on that.
-
Its quite a cold morning here. 2C here with quite a raw breeze blowing through. Windchill of -5 here.
-
Things are looking good on tuesday next week.
-
The heavens just opened here with raining cats and dogs! with some gusty winds with it. still no thunder though.
-
Bring on the stormy weather!! I love it! Its my second favourite weather behind snowy weather. The winds are looking like being a more worrying feature at this present time, Friday night looks VERY Stormy at present.
At least it is better than just calm and rain. It is about time long due for a decent Beast from the Atlantic with storm force winds in places.
Hot weather is my third.
-
could start around 7th-10th february. I think. as far as I know.Had a top day messing in the snow/sludge. Whens the next cold spell???
It seems everything is coming back to normal on this thread. Peace and quiet at last. At least for couple of weeks.

I just lived just too far north of the snow. Im gutted. By judging at the radar the wind is changing direction to more of a north-westerly if you look closely.
