2 inches of snow here and still falling, wide of my prediction though of about 4 inches by 7am. Had 3 hours sleep so precipitation must not have pepped up as much as I previously thought. Still the same though and snowing so I will take that still.
I sympathise but don't give up yet by a long shot. Like I said its hardly raging blizzards here yet. Surely this is going to intensify and stall over the middle of the country.
Very strange. Its not really heavy here yet but its consistent and there is about an inch lying on all surfaces. Should get better for all by dawn I hope.
Looks like heavy precipitation setting up now from the west & the south, if this stalls its going to be good. About 2cm of cover here on all surfaces at the moment. Its about to get interesting.
From what I've been told if dew points keep rising ever so slightly you get bigger flakes but with the chance of it becoming more marginal so not sure what I want right now.
Its just cranking up here but dew points are now only -2.1 compared to a low of -3.5 at 10:30pm earlier, so the intensity is getting better but really don't want it to go much higher now. If I could I bank what I have now for as long as I could throughout today.
Just stupid out there now, everywhere now has a covering. Even if it kept on at this rate which isn't amazing to what I've seen in the past, easily 4 inches by 7am.
Just getting whiter and whiter here with almost nonstop constant horizontal snow, if the intensity increases a bit more it will really start to pile up.
It will be and look at your altitude! Just goes to show it can happen even at this late stage of the season, but only if conditions are finally balanced. Enjoy mate!
Snow getting thicker and heavier, still small flakes though. Temps still dropping, dew points holding strong at -3.0. Looking excellent now, should start to lie properly soon despite the small flakes.
