  1. The best of everything to you and your wife and wishing your unborn baby safe passage into this life.
  2. [quote name="Jimmyh" post="2918752" timestamp="1391628109Well, that looks awful... Is there a chance, however remote that it could downgrade in the next day or so. I sincerely hope so for the sake of us all
  3. I just feel this needs to be said. I have recently started following Netweather several times a day. The service you are all providing in putting up weather conditions so that all can be aware of events is second to none. I would also like to say that forecasts and thoughts from people like John Pike are easy to follow. I watched this site during the pre-Christmas storms and the kindness shown by you all to some of those who were genuinely frightened was nothing short of exemplary. It's also great to hear everyone's posts on what's going on in their lives as it gives a good picture of people. I enjoy Carltonkerrys morning posts and always like the pictures of the little Guinea Pigs in their suits of armour. This is a truly excellent site and for anyone who needs to keep an eye on forthcoming weather conditions like me who has twelve ladies in waiting it is second to none. THANK YOU ONE AND ALL X Sorry if I've gone on a bit.
  4. Not in the least Ruthie.. I might do the same.. It's all going on charge tonight just in case. Wind getting up now in Tunbridge Wells... Pray no patter of tiny hooves tonight...
  5. Thanks for that... Going down to check our ewes in a while. Praying to God that the one we had on the 30th January was an early bird due to the fact of Dave the Ram starting the party early. Sunny and dry in Tunbridge Wells as I write.
  6. Dreadful forecasts from Wednesday onwards. Lovely and sunny day here in Tunbridge Wells today tho..
  7. I've been to Dinner at the Undertaker's this evening and the subject came up of the 1953 floods at Canvey Island. That sounded awful as so many places were flooded. I shall look it up on the net later.
  8. Just more than a bit worried as to what the weather is going to bring over the next couple of days... Our first lamb was born yesterday. Am hoping that this is an early bird and that the ladies in waiting are going to wait a bit longer before the patter of tiny hooves starts in earnest
  9. To be honest I am a novice at all this but I have found these forums on netweather and their weather alerts outstanding... This is the site that myself and family are following to keep up with the weather. Dreadful forecast expected, stay safe everyone
  10. I have been following this all evening and the wind is now worsening in Tunbridge Wells. Just happened into the chat room where there is I think, talk of two sailors in trouble in a boat.... Keep safe everyone tonight and may love and light be with you. There are some very kind people on this forum to those who are genuinely frightened by tonight's events. God bless you all.. A great bunch of people x
  11. Good... Got me worried there Tom... A friend of my husband drowned at Brighton rescuing his dog... This weather is not to be trifled with
  12. Have moved all the sheep and the horse also.... Getting gusty at times down here.
  13. Dear All, I might be in the wrong forum here but is there going to be frost tonight. Am in Kent... just a bit worried about my nasturtiums and newly planted tomatoes... should i be covering them up. Any thoughts gratefully received. Many thanks.
  14. Rusthall calling.. somewhat unexpectedly.... snowing here steadily for last hour... light and then heavier flakes.... rinse, repeat... light and then heavier flakes..
  15. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the snow over the weekend and joining the Netweather Forum and seeing all the interesting posts on Saturday night, but I think a slow thaw is now going on in Tunbridge Wells. I for one hope it does thaw and just stays cold due to the fact I am in a knee brace and this snow has really given me insight into how hard it is for the elderly and disabled to cope in this weather. I shall now await a barrage of rotten eggs, tomatoes and brickbats coming my way!!!!!!!
  16. nothing to say............the three girls are outside making snowballs.
  17. This is Rusthall Calling... Rusthall calling... The eagle has landed.. the eagle has landed!!!!!!!!!!
  18. MR MAUNDER..... I AM IN A VILLAGE OUTSIDE T WELLS WITH A TOAD ON A ROCK (CRYPTIC CLUE) NO SNOW HERE YET!!!
