  1. Yeah absolutely, my misses rues the day I found this forum lol so I think she will be happier when we get any possibility of cold out of the way. Summer model watching bores me, I'll be all eye on the Radar hoping for convective super cells!
  2. One thing I will say, regardless of the lack of snow this winter, it certainly has been entertaining watching the models. Apart from the first failed easterly and the couple of weeks that followed, it's been gripping stuff! In start contrast to last year anyway!
  3. Well I'm looking forward to the ECM. It would appear we are cold for the forecastable future, so an increased risk of seeing something wintry (ppn wise) would be a great way to end this remarkable March.
  4. Dew Point in Amsterdam is -14C, that's impressive at the height of Winter, never mind end the of March!
  5. Yep, that would be my bet. Whenever there is mention of snow for the south 5 days out, it always disappears. Even if we get yellow warnings if snow 3 days out, they will shift. I wonder if I can resist looking at the weather models all week, and just take it as a surprise. Now there's a challenge!
  6. Well the GFS and UKMO want to bring S'Westerlies in next weekend. ECM is having none of it!
  7. I'm going to personally dig the M4 up and relocate this piece of snow destroying Tarmac. I've a feeling this will track further south to be honest.
  8. Yep fair enough, at least I've seen some snow. To be honest, come the Summer we do tend to do better than the North, why can't I have my cake and eat it? Lol
  9. I'm not pleased for them, like you say if we miss out at the end of the week I give up completely. Problem is, when its systems coming in off the Atlantic, we need to be the correct side of marginal in January, never mind March! I don't hold out much hope. New I should have been a ski instructor
  10. Dull and miserable here, it's going to be very frustrating watching that band of precip slip away to my north and east. When the temps will eventually be where they need to be.
  11. Tipping it down in Poole, just back from Wales, my word it's a mess up there! Bloody waste of a day, basically drove there(almost) and drove straight back. 19 hours later, here I am! Was fun though in the pickup
  12. speaking of Vacuum cleaners, this is a must watch, especially if you have a daughter, this is genius!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptRQekeGggA I actually use this technique now!!
  13. I'm grinning from ear to ear, hilarious stuff. At least they didn't have a sense of humor failure!
  14. Sorry Karl, I didn't see a reply from you, so could wait any longer, didn't know if you were just popping in, then back to work or whatever. Credit where credit is due, that was brilliant bit of work mate, it's made us all laugh, top painting!
  15. I've seen, lol last time ive been frowned upon like that was when i declared bingo and I only had a line. ooops. Credit to the man that made that though!! I was merely the messenger, with pleasure I may add!
  16. lol It's unfortunate that somebody posted an Met Office updated warning caption literally 2 posts after, grrrhhhh.
  17. this rain band isn't progressing very quickly is it? It's been raining in Ferndown since 7am and its struggling to make inroads up the M3 only 35 miles away. I think there are some very nervous folk in the mod thread, it's all gone very quiet.
  18. yes it's for Saturday. Be interesting to see if the North get some Red Warnings later this evening, i think 20-40cm probably justifies it personally, with risk to life quite possible.
