Very true bluearmy, a nice developing low in the med and setting up over northern Italy would be ideal! Although still probably to early to bring any decent cold to the uk as a whole or away from high ground, hopefully these charts are still showing next month, along with snow over continuing its advances west, and with heights over Greenland, most of key factors will be in place. Great viewing nonetheless

Nice drive to Inverness tomorrow, straight over the Cairngorms A9 route, should be interesting!

Just ordered my new weather station, Oregon WMR88, just in time for what better be a cracking winter! Narrowed it down to 2 weather stations, whats peoples view on the Oregon WMR88 or WL301? Really want to make the correct decision, but no experience of any weather stations.

Hi all With Winter looming I am going to invest in a weather station, this being my first Weather station, I've nothing to compare it to.Can anyone advise of a decent weather station, I don't want to spend millions, but I want a decent and accurate one that will give me and fellow enthusiasts as much data as possible!! What an anticlimax that was, complete garbage! So glad I didn't go out, set my alarm once or twice, looked at the radar and realised this would be a non event. Reminded me of winter disappointment lol. Ah well good old weather, lets be honest, this is why we all love the weather so much, the devious begger! Good for you lot that got some action!
