  1. Met Office has issued snow warning for Gloucestershire, just popped up on my twitter feed.
  2. 6.9mm of rain so far in Poole today, temp maxed out at 5.6C, now 5.2C with a DP of 4.7C and windchill of -0.6C =
  3. I concur Joe, how many times have they said it will be a dry easterly and BOOM snow develops in an unstable pattern!!here's to hoping, then can we please have spring warmth!!
  4. Oh my days, that would be almost as sweet as AFC winning the Chapions League and Premiership in the same season. on that basis, we may have to wait a while for that to happen
  5. Noted, taking my Ford Ranger, don't think that will even help with 20-50cm though
  6. oh I've go to drive to North Wales tomorrow, leaving at 5am, should be fun!!
  7. Copy and paste that into the Mod Thread, go on i dare yuh!!! and then watch the
  8. I use the Meteo Group Radar, brilliant tool for my iPhone (*other hand held devices are available), think it cost me a £5'er. worth every penny. Sorry Mods
  9. I get the feeling from what I saw of Ian's comment earlier on the Mod Disc thread, that this is now not a big concern, especially south That said, a nice easterly flow can always throw a surprise!! Typical really, last channel low we miss out be 100 miles south, this time we miss out by 200 miles north. I hope we have a cracking summer and it rains from Oxford North and mid Channel south, including the French!!!
  10. LOL, Ian F has just dropped what they all think is a Bomb in the MOD Thread, likelihood is he's probably just knackered. That's how I read it anyway. I can't see it shifting this far south surely?
  11. for somebody that is about to get drenched for 72 hours, with not a sniff of a snow flake, it sure is entertaining watching you lot flap looking a very interesting couple of days for those further North.
  12. LOL They are all very nervous in the MOD thread, it's entertaining to say the least, posting wrong charts, toys almost coming out!! Great stuff
  13. It won't last. Someone toys will come out if the pram before The snow line shifts. They should live down here for a couple of winters, that'll sort them out.
  14. Could this be the culprit, slide down toward the channel and France? to be continued...... come on 12z,roll out roll out
  15. Could see the number of people watching the output, and monitoring this thread rise quite dramatically now! I fear meltdown!
  16. That did grab my attention, as you say, it's not like Exeter to come out with thoughts like that, especially given A)the time frame and B ) the more imminent threat of snow for the coming few days. Interesting stuff, will be viewing the output with interest over the coming runs!! How epic this could have been if this was the setup in January!!
  17. No showers for me today, but this cell passed to the north of Ferndown at about 5:30pm, camera doesn't really do it justice, wish it rolled over us, really looked quite intense!
  18. I hope so, last event only really effected Sussex and Kent, oh and the Channel Islands, but a pretty unrealistic turn around now surely.
  19. Pretty similar UKMO and ECM at 144, although UKMO has more energy coming off the Eastern seaboard thanECM. Sorry on phone so can't post charts.
  20. I am extremely envious of those photo's!! especially as we came so so close, even if that storm was 50 miles further north, it would have made a big difference to us and the channel islands still would have got smashed. ah well maybe next winter, or is it next week?? lol i hope not, i want to get my BBQ out now! grrrhh I went to Sussex yesterday afternoon, it was snowing from 3pm right through to this morning, there were some impressive Drifts on the Downs, but not a patch on the ones pictured above. Very pleased for you lot down there, hope everyone is safe, especially the elderly and vulnerable.
  21. Anyone a clue on how West Sussex will fair tonight? Horsham area please?
