  2. some yellows appearing in the band aproaching Cardiff and band pepping up nicely
  3. A good sign did you see how the showers pepped up as they crossed the channel ?? hope the same thing happend with the approaching heavier bands
  4. Are those showers ove southamton progged to head towards the cardiff area then?? Great couple of hours in Bridgend Moderate snow has given us a brand new 2 inch covering which makes up for the slushfest yesterday in this area
  5. If you had said that 5 years ago I could well have believed you but winters seem to returning to the ways of old and we have had a couple of decent falls each year, still you never know so best to savour!!!
  6. Bridgend really heavy snow looks like we are well positioned any idea how long these streamers can last???

  8. after 5 hours finally settling well in Bridgend only problem only looks like another 45 minutes or so for us

  10. looks like bridgend is on the wrong side of marginal tonight wet snow not sticking dew point at 0 temp at 1.2 think it will be a great night down the road in Cardiff so enjoy guys

  12. But how can it stay around cardiff area so long when it is moving north and west so fast??
  13. It does look as if the the thickest precip will clear cardiff within a couple of hours why is it predicted to last so much longer??

  20. A forcaster was just talking on Red dragon radio and apparently the temperature and (presumably dew points?) will start to drop rapidly from now onwards and precipitation will be snow to low levels by early evening. Also mentioned the possiblility of a another red following soon.
  21. Well was that it? stopped in bridgend winter wonderland restored but was hoping for a longer event than 30 minutes bands have now cleared the area, my hopes now pinned on the bands approachig cornwall from France
  22. anyone think the massive bands just leaving the french coast heading towards cornwall are the main bands that the nae said would hit us between 6 and miday tomorrow??

  24. rain/sleet in Bridgend front just arrived hopefully turn to snow when precipitation peps up!!
