Thanks,i was getting worried that i might of been wrong with the placement of the lobes but to me the parra looks more favourable regards to the split i am still struggling with the strat/trop profiles and i need to get my head around them more.

Don't you mean further east? we have the lobe over the uk on the mean at 360 of which is later than the para,where as the parra has it further east over europe at 324. hardly worth worrying about at this range but still timings and final placements to be resolved

Control going for the split too. good to see some consistancy from more models now for a split. mean at 360

Day ten mean,make of it what you will but it's a dam sight better than the 12z.

At 30hpa yesterday v today.

Finally the gfs is coming on board with the strat but is much later than the FV3.

It is further NW and the back door is closer,it wouldn't take much tweaking Crew.

I didn't think it would beat this mornings but it has(well,,,forecasted),Canadian segment further west too.

FV3 a better split,look how wide that is the mean taking a dive at the end.

I would like to see these again as i have only seen them once and it wasn't long ago.

I was just about to say the same thing,watch the back door,it's beginning to open,the trough is more neg tilted sw instead of alongating N>S.

I bet your lass won't think the same the gfs not so good as the 12z but i don't think there would be much to resolve overnight.

The latest from cpc 6-10/8-14 days shows hp getting stronger over the uk,frost and fog could be the form horse over the xmas-new year period,i will take this over this miserable wet cool damp period that we have being seeing of late,we won't see snow over xmas> but i will second this building blocks!,where will it lead us into the new year?

Ok,who hacked the ecm this morning! the thin blue line

Is it safe to come in here now Yes dan,was just about to post the same chart and a ten degree uptick since yesterday,the one on the top right is two days old and it will be interesting to see how it goes over the next few days,you can see the warming starting to appear at the top right corner(circled black)at 1hpa down to 5hpa,the red circle show the uptick at 10hpa,the bottom right chart shows that we are currently in a wave 1 pattern and there is a slight uptick in wave two towards the end,i have done a little blue scribble with w2 on there and i would like it to follow that i have been following the jma for some time regarding this warming and it has been very consistant(t240-108) and the gefs p10 was a stonker but look at that black hole anomoly it's nice to see that people have calmed down a lot since this morning,lets keep it that way eh!
