Snowshine

Some places were just purely unlucky today. Plymouth and Wales seemed to get near enough nothing today. Seems like most places got at least a strike though.

Hearing some very distant thunder... Nottingham seems to be getting a lot of the strikes, the storms seem to weaken when they reach Sheffield. An odd strike quite near to my location. Storms seem to be brewing in London and possibly in the Midlands. Another 100+ strikes in Nottingham, other detectors show some popping up in the East Midlands too!

Fair amount of thunderstorms this morning, some very loud rumbles with some IC lightning, never saw any CG lightning, I still feel that I missed the worst of the storms. This morning was very humid and fairly warm. Last night was disappointing with thunderstorms in my area, only a couple of flashes and distant thunder, a huge amount of the strikes were hitting London or Leicester. Looks like Derby is getting some lightning flashes at the moment. Some forecasts are predicting more thundery showers tonight though.

This better be a good forecast! Update: The shower never came, just wow, hoping for thunder on Thursday.

Today was only OK for storms in my area, I did not see any CG lightning however there were reports of it nearby to me, the storms on Monday night all managed to avoid my area somehow all heading to Leicester, only one bought some flashes, distant thunder and very heavy rain for a short period of time. Tuesday morning at around 7am was more impressing, some very loud crashes of thunder, IC lightning and torrential rain showers. It still annoys me that the worst of the storms always seems to avoid Warwickshire like this morning. A small but thundery shower is predicted EXACTLY in my area by BBC, I doubt it will come anyway!

I love storms, they dont happen to often here but I like the clouds mainly, the huge cumulonimbus one's can be scary, I remember in June 28th 2012 when a huge cloud was distant from where I was, I never got inside it though, another one hit us and it was not that severe.

aww, I wanted kirk to come to England, too bad even if it were to hit land it would be in Ireland or Scotland.

Raining here, not really heavy or light. Just want some thunder!

The forecast says there is thunderstorms for 7:00pm (Warwick, West Midlands) but it seems its all finished. Got to say I was more impressed by the lightning strikes I saw last night than today overall, all I saw was torrential rain heard a few rumbles of thunder some quite loud, never saw lightning directly except possibly once when I turned my head to look. no hail, slightly gusty overall it was a normal day with rain and rumbles of thunder with some lightning.

Hurray more thunder (Warwick, UK) will put my location in later. Its quite loud but no lightning hmm... well i saw some last night atleast lol. looks like it will carry on for a while or so!

Just had some rumbles, now even more but there not too loud actually, not seen lightning but extreme rain, no hail so far but there is more to come

Finally some thunder I can hear quite nearby!

I can hear some very distant thunder here in Warwick aldough I am expecting thunder later on in the day, however the Uk lightning detector is beginning to detector lightning around my area but not in my area. I expect all places will experience atlease a little rumble with the amount there is. Even if I dont hear thunder I can still remember the strikes we had last night

Not experienced any storms so far today in Warwick but will be expected a few hopefully, last night there were a few in cloud lightning strikes and mild rumbles of thunder but it was something. The UK Lightning detector is tracking lightning strikes just near me and there still forming!
