  1. Big flakes here and it's sticking nicely, already sounds like mayhem on the higher routes looking at FB travel info
  2. Some areas showing 200mm on the radar accumulation It's still raining here, cannot remember a day like this in my entire life, constant rain literally all day
  3. 60 People rescued today from homes and businesses in Chesterfield by Derbyshire FRS
  4. Probably best trying to reach the M1, some side roads on higher ground to the East of the town are still passable but the town centre is a complete write off
  5. Hipper is rapidly falling and it looks like the Rother is finally peaking, the gauge at Hady Hill reached 4.2m, 85cm above the previous high in June 2007! However, we still have moderate rainfall and the radar looks grim
  6. Again I'm not usually one to question the Met Office but the situation here is dire and if it doesn't warrant a red warning then I've no idea what will
  7. Seems to be getting heavier again here
  8. Every level gauge in Chesterfield has set a new record today, some by closer to 1 meter! Roads are underwater, many businesses and homes flooded.
  9. Still raining moderately here, town centre is basically an island right now
  10. 6 out of 7 level gauges on the River Hipper and Rother in Chesterfield are now above their previous all time highs set in 2007.
  11. We're now heading into the realm of unprecedented here. 4 of the 8 river level gauges in the town are already above their all time highs.
  12. River Hipper in Chesterfield has now topped the record levels of June 2007. Never though I'd see the day that some of those records fell but here we are, and we still have persistent heavy rain. All stations in the town look likely to break their all time level record.
  13. Rother at Hady Hill now at 3.02m, 30cm away from topping the 2007 record, crazy stuff
  14. Serious situation now in Chesterfield, roads are gridlocked and homes being evacuated in Brampton area
