  1. No chasing for me today, sucks to be missing out on what could end up being the best convective day of the year!
  2. Ended up staying somewhat local around the W/SW side of the Peaks, seen a few flashes and some torrential rain at points, not a bad afternoon out! A pic of my chase vehicle warhorse
  3. I'm bang under the cell S of Uttoxeter, torrential rain and loud thunder overhead
  4. Cells firing up everywhere around here, I'm heading SE towards Ashbourne/Uttoxeter Thunder heard back home in Chesterfield according to family @The PIT
  5. Not sure if I should drop south or just stay put here on the western side of the Peak District, still plenty of the day left and i could see a scenario of being stuck behind one of those storms trying to get back NW
  6. Storm near Manchester now dying off, time to head South and find a good SE viewpoint
  7. Just hit 30c here, few storms fired up to the west, I'm staying put for now awaiting what may develop to the south
  8. Going off UKV and AROME, initial lift off looks to be around 2pm
  9. Certainly looking too far NE here, a short drive over the Peak District is on the menu though, chase mode activated
  10. Might have been able to get ahead of that squall line into Lincolnshire if I'd set off earlier this morning, decided there was absolutely no chance of catching it so I've returned home to await anything else cropping up this afternoon
  11. Testing the new chase vehicle today Some pretty strong gusts and heavy rain as the squall passes over currently
  12. From the village of Great Hucklow this morning, certainly looks like tornado damage!
  13. Some very intense precip heading this way from the West, interested to see if it falls as rain or snow
  14. Still dry here, 5.2c so if it does get here its unlikely to fall as snow *Just checked the dew point, -2c, maybe it will snow?*
