  1. Can see tonight being real dangerous on the roads, suns been out for hours now here and the thaw is well and truly underway, with a temp forecast of -4c that's not a good recipe
  2. That's the first picture I've seen of this event that's comparable to December 2010, awesome!
  3. I'd guess we've got around 20cm here, still snowing too Some amazing pics of the Peak District with 6ft drifts
  4. Couldn't resist going for a stroll, pretty brutal out there, my face is numb from the wind and fast falling snow, certainly not as pleasant as walking with the big flakes slowly cruising to the ground! Looks lovely though, a good 15-20cm on the grass in places and the roads have quickly covered since 6pm.
  5. As many have alluded to, altitude really playing a massive difference tonight, at ~100m here we've got nothing like a winter wonderland! Amazing scenes in Sheffield though, great to see!
  6. Don't know what's gone wrong here but the snow is way less intense than earlier on today, smaller flakes falling fast rather than big flakes.
  7. Now snowing again here, covering up the driveways and paths that remained snow-free earlier today!
  8. Local stations showing Dew Points of 0c, my station has the temp at 0.5c, yet what we have right now is... sleet
  9. Sleety mixture currently, we've got around 8cm of snow on surfaces that it's settled on. Just looks very wet because the stuff on the trees from earlier has melted away
  10. I won't lie, it's absolutely grim outside here currently, wet, cold and slushy, looking at the radar warms my heart though
