  1. In regards to the posts about supercells, only a couple really stand out over the past few years 28th June 2012 being the recent benchmark for UK storm activity and July 1st 2015 which saw large hail over North Yorkshire
  2. I think we sit in a sort of void when it comes to storms,at least severe storms anyway; often in the last couple of years at least, North West set-ups have seen areas like Manchester/Bradford and North Yorkshire do really well, where as we miss out. Whenever home-grown storms are on the cards, South Lincolnshire/Peterborough area is the place to be and we end up being too far West/North. And then if by some miracle, an MCS did make landfall, the chances of it surviving this far north are slim, based on recent years anyway. But, its only May, we have 4 months of storm season to go yet, maybe this year will be different!
  3. Big downgrade for the midlands on Ukmo precip graphics, all the heavier stuff moved SE
  4. Will it be the usual case? Slightly too far South yesterday and too far North tonight?! I cant complain though, afterall its only May!
  5. If only those cells had gone up 30 miles further south, good luck everyone North of here, kicking out alot of strikes now!
  6. Those cells blew up out of nowhere! Bodes well for anyone North of here
  7. Id say that the UKs tornado alley is South Lincolnshire, with Sleaford being comparable to Oklahoma City
  8. Well, after an abysmal winter, its all eyes to the summer and thunderstorms! Lets hope 2017 is an active year!
  9. Are these accurate? or has Doris taken a more southerly path Wind seems to be ramping up here after a calmer period
  10. Just looking like a regular windy day here, dissapointing as it looked as if today could be very interesting around these parts, stronger gusts now further south? Hope im wrong
  11. Looking at the gust forecast from UKMO, they now think the strongest winds will be further south
  12. First time i can recall being under an Amber warning for wind
  13. A very light dusting here, looks like a good covering on the hills to the west though, very marginal again tonight
  14. UKMO showing showers moving as far east as the Peak District overnight
  15. Nothing here, peaks killing off the precip before it arrives
  16. http://www.flashbarstores.co.uk/ Snow at Flash 460M

  20. Rain here with a bit of sleet mixed in, no complaining, lamp post watching in early November!
  21. Suspect i will be too low for anything substantial at 110m, if i were 10 miles west that would be a different story
