    Pressure falling - currently at 976 mb Wind speed increasing - averaging in the last hour at 26mph with a gust of 48mph, with squally rain. I'm dreading going out to the butchers to get the turkey - what a lovely 30th birthday this is!

    A Maddening update - again trying find something to justify his forcst for November and December. He is also sticking to a cold end to Dec and Jan in the freezer http://www.exactaweather.com/UK_Long_Range_Forecast.html I guess we'll have another snowmageddon headline in the express shortly!

    Sunshine and frequent heavy snow showers. Temps in the sun up to 4c, then dropping like a stone to -1c during showers. Strong E/NE wind with gusts up to 30mph with blizzard like conditions when the showers arrive.

    Good call on that one. Looks like most low altitude areas will see rain rather than snow. Nottingham is forecast a little snow this evening, but it will have been raining all day so I doubt it will amount to much. I was driving up the M1 last night, and on the big warning signs they had displayed 'Severe Weather Forecast Tomorrow'.I'm not so sure about that!

    Woke up to a light covering of snow this morning, and it's still snowing now. Snow wasn't forecasted until tonight in Nottingham.
