  1. Nov/Dec 2010 was awesome here with 45cm of snow in the fields around the 3rd of Dec.I would love to see a repeat of those snow depths this coming winter lol.

it could happen according to these charts couldnt it? do you remember how long it took for the snow to accumulate to 45cm? I wish I got 45 cm and -15.

  2. Hi Snowy Weather, Any kind of northerly blocking will bring cold conditions generally, as for snow, it's harder to say. Hopefully some more knowledgeable folks will be able to answer that for you.

Ok thanks. I really hope we get lots of snow like in nov/dec 2010. That was legendary. We got around 30cm of snow and it layed there for so so long. Schools were closed for so long as well and I did not have any exams that following jan so it was so awesome. It was nice their we're no cars on the roads, everything stood still for a long time and their was a real Christmassy feel. Fingers crossed for something Even better this year.

  3. Classic undercutter with the Jet diving south taking all the energy under the block which would be a classic in its own right, but for mid November........

Im quite new to this forum and do not know the first thing about charts. I would be very grateful if someone could explain why this chart is good for cold weather and what it means. Thanks you

Also what conditions do we need to produce heavy snow and cold weather for the south east, if any one could explain I would be very grateful. Thanks.

  4. Welcome Along, your love reading through these threads, plenty of people who just like you want cold/snow. The charts the CFS are showing which Robbie posted would give us some hefty snowfall and very cold conditions, difficult to compare to 2010 as it actually hasnt happened, would be very interesting if verified but because so far out, best to take with a pinch of salt... Enjoy yourself on here and feel free to ask questions as the majority are helpful and you will learn alot!

in terms of the chances of a cold winter could it still at this stage go any way and according to these charts how cold could it possibly go and how much snow is it possible for us in the south?

  5. Hi everyone im new here and am a great lover of very cold and snowy weather. Im a great follower of this thread and love the discussions. I was wondering if some of the cfs charts posted here did come to life would that mean that this winter would be colder and more snowier than nov/dec 2010.

p.s i do not know anything about the technical side of things. Thank you
