Morning Rollo Totally agree with what your saying. The papers are giving forecasts/stories for the masses. People dont buy papers because of their interest in the weather. To a high proportion of their readers, its just another story.

Although I agree with many comments on this, how about turning the thread the other way around. How would we feel if a quality newspaper, lets say the Sun, came out with the headline "London faces heatwave", or "Highlands to get blizzards". We could potentially then be in a boat of well what about the rest of the country. As TM said, its complex for the media (those which are not dedicated to the weather), to give detailed forecasts/information. Its much easier to give a simplistic point of view on one scenario.

Yep. Some do, some dont (in my experience anyway). The basil grew well, but the coriander died pretty quickly, and didnt grow back too well when cut. If you want to grow herbs, I would say its better to get them from a garden centre than a supermarket.

Can anybody help with downloading Flashplayer? First of all though, because my friendly IT guys in Denmark dont want remote users loading programmes onto the laptops, they have installed admin username and password protection. This tends to pop up when i'm trying to save a new programme. However, because the plonks are in Denmark, I needed to have the username and password to download certain programmes to be able to work. So I have both of these. However, when I try and download Flash Player, nothing happens. No user/password required. The page just stalls. any ideas?

Torrential? rain here now for about 10-15 minutes. The odd rumble of thunder, but no lightening. Quite suddenly stopped now Looks like brightening up again.

Could your works system be deleting/clearing cookies on a regular basis?
