Report from 12.45 today, on A453, between M1 and Nottingham. A massive flash of lightening, and even larger clap of thunder. Quite unexpected, and required a spare pair of pants

The wind making it feel worse than it is, blowing the rain in your face. Not a nice start to the morning, but some much needed water fall.

Forecasts for here today are quite varied, being from partly cloudy all day, through to potential of seeing some wintry showers. With winds round to the n/w at the mo, there is prob. a better chance of seeing some of these showers than from a true northerly wind (Paul C - anything from your end of the A50?)

Has been dry all morning with sunny intervals. Just had the first shower (moderate to heavy) of the day, at a resonable 8oC

I remember those storms in 1998. It was awful. Its strange that dates like 09.04 can stick out for such events.

Good morning troops. Woke up to a fairly dry ground this morning: Temp - 4oC Feels Like - -2oC Wind - West @ 23 mph Dew Point - 1oC Humidity - 81% Conditions - A few bits and pieces of scattered cloud, but manily on the sunny (or blue sky anyway) side.

Well apart from this mornings showers, its been as dry as a panty liner Now 12oC
