Here is my attempt.
This weekend will be cool and cloudy for most parts however it will be wet in the east, main wind direction will be northerly and temperatures will range from 15C in the north and 23C in the south.
Next week will be dry for most parts due to the Azores High ridging in from the south west however the north of Scotland will be mostly cloudy and will turn wet towards the end of the week, main wind direction will be north westerly and temperatures will range from 20C in the north and 30C in the south.
The following weekend will see high pressure move over the British Isles and most places will be dry and sunny with temperatures ranging from 22C in the north and 32C, the wind direction will be variable.
The following week will again be dry and mostly sunny however it will be fairly cool with temperatures ranging from 15C to 25C due to the Greenland High absorbing the Azores ridge, main wind direction will be northerly.
All in all, it looks as though summer is returning for August.

Yes, i use the average CET of 4.5C so i can compare how cold past winters were, as opposed to this one, and i have no choice but to classify anything less than 3C as severe as the official definition of a severe winter is a winter with a CET of less than 3C.
-
Yes, i use the CET figures from December to Februrary.

I have decided to use todays average winter CET of 4.5C and compare it against winter CET's since 1660.
I will class the winters into several catergories, these are:
Severe - 3C or less
Cold - 3C to 4C
Average - 4C to 5C
Mild - 5C to 6C
Hot - 5C or above
-
The problem with snow over the last few years has been that the snowflakes have not been very big due to the air being too dry and warm to allow large snowflakes to fall at a fast pace.
-
I believe the reason why people do not mention that winter is because it was not classed as a severe winter, the CET for that winter was 3.1C, for that winter to be classed as severe the CET only had to be 0.1C lower and it would have had its place in the history books, how close can you get. LOL.
-
I will look at some historic charts to confirm this however if it is true then it wuld confirm my predictions of a long, hot and dry summer, 1976 had the driest summer on record until 1995.
-
This cold spells total is 3cm.

I have just been looking at charts on www.xcweather.com for 13:09pm and nowhere in the British Isles is there a wind with a southerly or westerly component.

Here is my next attempt.
This weekend will be cool and cloudy for most parts however it will be wet in the east, main wind direction will be northerly and temperatures will range from 12C in the north and 22C in the south.
Next week will be dry for most parts due to the Azores High ridging in from the south west however the north of Scotland will be mostly cloudy and will turn wet towards the end of the week, main wind direction will be north westerly and temperatures will range from 14C in the north and 24C in the south.
The following weekend will be unsettled with the winds changing from westerly on saturday to northerly on sunday, temperatures will range from 16C to 22C.
The following week will be mostly dry with sunny spells however it will become unsettled towards the end of the week, rather cool with temperatures ranging from 13C in the north to 23C in the south, main wind direction will be north westerly.
All in all, it will be mostly dry but rather cool, no heatwave in the forseable future.
