Heavy rain here at 145/150m. North Leeds. Was 3.8c earlier but sensor not working at present

Ecm picks a signal at 240hr.
Ecm follows that signal.
Ecm continues to show it even stronger in each run.
Scandi high signal at 240hr gone the next day.
Yes FI is 160 plus but howcome its set in stone when its a mild signal rather than a cold!
Met office outlooks should be scrapped-THEY ARE A TOTAL SHAMBLES- and they always get away with it because unlike myself no-one else calls them to complain. If we all did on here then hey ho-they'd have a lot to answer for wouldnt they!

P.s. doesnt help that rain band tomorrow pushes in mid afternoon. Warmest part of the day. CANT WE JUST EVER GET A PROPER SNOW EVENT LIKE IN THE 80S 90S! WHY JUST WHY.... its so frustrating.
The gfs ukmo n ecm are way behind the met offices's models so were just playing blind imo.

The bit of height is insane! Makes all the difference! Here in north leeds at 147m is 0c. Yet today has felt freezing with rain without much of a breeze. Yet just a little higher and it is white and snowing! We just needed those uppers a little colder.
I bet back in the days this would have been snow to much lower levels!

Wow the meto have again got this hugely wrong. Rain here at 2.5, pennines now dry, precip on the west coast.
But as per they will again ignore this fact and move on because not enough people make a fuss about it, yet they knowingly know the truth!

I cant get access to the sat, but is this seperate mini low further west hence giving the snow on pennines n rain here, as it seems that way!!. Any ideas? I reckon further east n we would all have had snow!

Guys watch the winking man webcam now! Its insane! Can anyone grab the link n feed on here! Wow just wow, imagine that being at low levels.
Winds eased here. Started as snow now rain, temp 2.5 at 150m. So so close to something spectacular but wasnt to be.

Then less than a week later on the 14th, we had even more , more than 6 inches , rain turned to snow before Dawn and lasted all day again piling up all day. We were in a sweet spot again as it was sleet in York and rain west of Pennines. Again the day after was a stunning day with no melt. That one was better forecast but we still got more than expected.
Those two events were really special.
They really were incredible and special werent they! Good job we made the most of them!
I cant quite remember the atmospheric conditions prior to though compared to tomorrow. I think the first was precip running into cold stagnant air as we had a strong air frost prior.but again no advisories on met office!

Yes it was localised at times but i am sure other members on here remember then well right? Only difference was that it was more conducive to snow on those occasions. However we may end up with a damp blustery squib so we shall see. Slightly excited but not over-whelmingly atm! Lets hope this upgrades for US tomorrow, as tomorrow night is when the action takes place!

Also just to add- here in north leeds we had 2 or 3 snow events last season with inches of snow that was not forecast by the met office nor was there a weather warning out either. I remember calling the met office making a complaint about how poor their forecast was in those episodes.

Wow quiet on here when the gfs n ecm are showing snow potential! Its the closest we will prob get all winter. So lets keep fingers crossed. Got the weather station bought and ready- £1785. Comon snow!

Guys n girls please can we stop the 'its only november and winter has startrd yet'. These get thrown up every year and as proven during the season that it doesnt matter when it is, if there is potential we need to take it as months can go by with relentless mild damp weather and before you know it, spring is here. We need every opportunity to go our way as best as possible. Tonights charts dont look too bad but typically taken away the cold fest that was originally on offer, esp just as you tell the rents n children lol. Lets see what 18z throws up. For now keep the faith.
