The activity really looks like picking up however frustratingly there seems to be a problem here in that the showers are moving to the north east and so therefore just slightly too far north !! Or am I mistaken?

Massive upgrade on bbc website (which they always claim to be very accurate don't they!) shows heavy snow from 3/4 until lunchtime!!

Can't really say it was too spectacular here. Was flashes n bangs but no bolts that I saw. One good point was a flash happened above house and thunder was immense

It's funny thy massively under estimated the storm potential last night. Isolated/scattered lol. I did however thought that the biggest storm risk was tonight!!???

Saw a big flash of lightening from north leeds looking south east. But nothing since. Cooled down a lot but humid! Hope we catch some real storms!! Missed y'all

Extremely grim here. Utter rubbish from the forecasters. Leeds will not reach 21 never mind 26/27. They have completely messed up this forecast. Shameful. 16c here and damp. This cloud off the sea has tended to spoil things quite a bit during what was a great spell of weather.

Upto 2.7 here. Cloudy with slow thaw. Am I right in thinking freeze thaw conditions make snow cover last longer n more compact??

At moment 1.7c with thick cloud but was 2c after an overnight low of -2.3. Coldest of week. 150m north east leeds

Not here. Pretty tropical now. Soo weird- we had the coldest night all week last night at -1.5 and was still sub zero an hour ago but now a balmy warmest all week 2.4c

Gosh the power of that sum now is incredible! Broken through the clouds in leeds and temp rocketing up! Shame really!

I know. I hate a wasted easterly. We could and shud be having days of frequent heavy snow showers blowing in!!

Heavier snow temp plummets. But now lighter snow and brighter to risen to 0.4. If this was a bit earlier in season I bet the temp would struggle to get above -1/-2 Ps. I do have friend in Morley
