All gone pete tong here. Heavy sleep but many snow flakes also. No settle. Ground soaked. 0.2c egerything too wet. Wudve been fine with heavy snow but not to be. Agaiiin. #gfs,icon,ecm fail. Imagine how good things must be when ukmo says YES! STILL SNOWING BUT WONT LAY. 0.2C

Ey up guys. Whos the troll because i certainly am not! I am as desperate for everyone for snow!! Funny the radar returns are crap yet a massive upgrade on met office for us in leeds showing 3hours heavy snow. Wow if only!!

Expect gfs precip to fall in line with near nothing on nxt update 18z. One lucky spot may just get lucky.

I will never believr the gfs again if this fails as it re-invigorated precip over us towards morning but just cant see it. Bbc-10cm lmao. Met-2-5cm higher ground. Theyll be lucky at this rate. Guess tget have to cover tyeir backs! Could of n looked really good!! But nope not having it.

Really thought this could have being a good suprise or a total wash out. Was actually exciting when seeing the ecm upgrade this afternoon, the icon and gfs but once again the met office app is on the ball tgerefore producing naff all really! Was icy here before at 145m n a little rain n snow flakes mixed togerther but now the ice has totally thawed! Temps need to drop quickly before that next batch arrives being so light in nature!! Lower dwn esp will have no chance otherwise!!

Interrsting 18z gfs over our rrgion again thursday night. Seems to intesify!! Hmmm wud love to see a MO warning. Not an advisory but gfs must be on its own here.

Forget what i said about thursday nighy as the gfs has ONCE AGAIN diwngraded a 7-9 hour period of heavy snow to nothing! So yes a damp squib. At such short a time frame i expected better. What frustrates me is that if it was a band of heavy rain it would have stayed of that but snow -no it just weakens as per. Snowing heavy as i speak lol. But a big let dwn. Even the meto ere saying snow ovrrnight thursday! Tgry must have seen something anywsts

Still have patches of snow n ice here. Yet such low uppers the dewpoints are really corrupting this. Its strange becsuse off the continent normally low dp's. I dont think it has anything to do with the north sea. Its simply the lack of coke to the east hence more modification. Crikey 29years ago a different situation!

I have loved some of the messages on here recently. A proper good group of us we have!! I even rang the MO on saturday telling them how poor n late they were with their warnings (advisories) but did say i didnt mind as i love snow!! Was a good convo. They told me that their guidance showed nothing but rain n sleet this week hence poor advisories

I dont want to get ahead of myself as we always get let dwn but as others have mentioned thurs night shows 7-9hours heavy snow over our region! Been a member on here for over 10years after my love and affection of weather but never commented nuch recently. Worked with p.hudson about 8 years ago and a studied open degree in meteorology.

Just seen carol kirkwood weather. Isn't it unbelievable that this is meant to be a very cold artic airmass but snow showers will be restricted for the hills with mostly sleet n rain. Even Max's at 4/5/6c. Looks like once again the bbc over-rated this spell. At this time of year we should be having sub-zero temps and plenty of snow from these charts but something's different!! (Not working right)

We'll I'm completely confused! Updated meto warnings!! Cover us all whole of Saturday and Tuesday!! On paper looks exciting but on forecasts n texts looks naff. .... ....

We'll I can't believe how poor the bbc are being! And I cannot believe that temps are forecast to be 4/5c. Expect all snow gone by later! The bbc say snow showers or sleet tonight and snow showers sat night giving a covering! I bet there wrong on both counts!! Very poor. I would have thought clear blue skies with snow cover would have kept the air temp v.low. But obviously not.
