  1. Hey mate, don't want to go to into it as a public forum but he just forwarded me the email, its something from a private company, not sure why his department get it but they do, generally its almost always right, last 3 years he has always told me about the snow and been spot on.
  2. Just had a chat with my relative who works in the Railway, they use some very expensive and pretty accurate service for their weather and he has not had a warning for snow or cold come in. They only issue warnings for up to 7 days ahead and have to be confident before they do for obvious reasons. Looks like we might have another week or so yet.
  3. Again a bit off in FI but the charts are looking for solid cold from a week onwards... http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php?ech=384&code=0&mode=1&carte=1
  4. I am expecting some big revisions at the end of the week if the French charts are anything to go on..
  5. The 384 chart is looking exciting/worrying depending on which side of the fence you sit from 240 onwards. http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php?ech=384&code=0&mode=1&carte=1
  6. The French think snow is coming, as do the Americans, it is strange how METO are holding back!
  7. I'm loving all this! Snow is coming folks!
  8. As I am in Kent France getting a cold blast could work, if it has the power just to blow over the thin channel and dump some on us!
  9. Pretty much just a hold today, although some gains in the sea ice.
  10. Big loss in Scandi today, China has gone mad though! What a massive fill out!
  11. I have a 3 year comparison here. Starting left to right with 2010 then 2011 and 2012. The changes in Scandi in 2011 compared to now and 2009 are huge. If anything I think we are fuller now than in 09' especially in North America.
  12. Exactly, which is where all that lovely snow is falling right now!
  13. It does seem the BBC and METO are seeing something we are not. They are both angleing, albeit slightly at the moment for a colder than average end to November
  14. UK, I am a total amatuer at this and am going off of previous years charts compared to this but everything seems to be the same as 2010 in fact a little better!
  15. Looks nothing like last year to me. Lets just hope those white pixels keep spreading!
  16. Im not sure it will be like last year, I am seeing a lot of similarities especially in ice and snow cover to 2009 as opposed to 2011. I am a snow fanatic and hope for 10 foot drifts every year if I am honest so maybe I am 'seeing what I want to see' but it seems more on par with a cold and snowy late November/early December followed by below average temperatures but a fairy dry December.
  17. So people who understand all this more than me, what does it look like right now? Is this like 2011 and we are going to get drips of the white stuff or are we closer to 2009/10?
  18. I shall do it now! Looking forward to at least 3 ft of snow over Kent in November Well heres hoping!
  19. I have been reading here for years, thought I should finally jump into posting! Winter is my thing, well snow..!
  20. Comparing today to this time last year - We seem to have a bit more
