  1. Thanks to the WEST wind I had my first proper winter wonderland morning since 2010. Then I went to Dungannon and before I knew what had happened the rain came from the North and washed it all away , but hey , the child inside was smiling .. and still is ..... All winter they cry ' from the east it must blow ' .. only from there will we get any snow ! but when the coldest place in the hemisphere's west a stiff wind from there has got to be best .. be bard
  2. hurray ! .. even my valley bottom has an inch of the white stuff !! First lying snow of the winter...
  3. oh ! and I do love this almost winter .. but dont worry .. snow is piling up all over the northern hemisphere esp. at altitude and polar maritime is not a bad source when the sea is cold

  13. Spain and North Africa should be covered in a few days .. and considering the big chunk of ice and hence snow missing to our north we must be approaching record levels of 'on - land ' snow but Ireland to stay GREEN lol Here in N. I. ..lol stands for Loyal Orange Lodge .. [ the Orange Men ]...lol !?!?!?
  14. or faith...everybody wanted the stunning predictions of a few days ago to be true but nobody believed they were..and we are in a Quantum universe not a Wantum universe
  15. a thread so dead ..will it be read... a question loong and deep one that keeps me up at night and stops me from my sleep.. where does the energy come from for the snow to be so deep that here in northern ireland the ice is two miles deep but here this year a famine would be if we couldn't import from across the sea and then I saw Nadine coming up from the South a storm like no other a wide open mouth She stayed for a week and then two and then three She sent out some daughters and they crossed the sea and energy came from the tropics to we what if that happens in winter I thought... then just as December arrives .. { without reason }. they call it the end of the hurricane season a storm from west Africa took Nadine's track up the middle of the Atlantic and answered my riddle.. She first spun through France and now on the day of Immaculate Conception It's Italy !!! and on she will travel and bury the east in a new coat of white Magnificent Beast But even before she'd begun to take form off the Bahamas a new child was born she too has moved north to the mid -north Atlantic and last time I checked she's driving every one frantic taking over like Nadine but much further north she's the cold winter lovers target for wrath but over on Greenland where they say things are melting the snow that's to come will be unrelenting So is this I'm asking. a new type of weather.? or have I just missed it...I was wondering whether any on board had seen it before or is it so normal you're crying 'NO MORE'.!!! h

  19. hello I'm new to the forum but watching weather since 1963 when I was 3.. see the stupidity of anon now... I'm 'be cause' posting! I always believed we are cause and the world we see an effect...I've always been no.42 and IBTH last posted 42 min before my seeing it.One of my pre-ice age expectations was ice bridge to Iceland but in October!!!!!!!! Last I remember was in 1979 at the end of another great winter . I even went to college in Derby in '78 as it was a cold spot to study and boy was I rewarded! Now live @50m next a drumlin in S.Tyrone..and BFTV lives on one of my fav. ley lines, I believe loss of Arctic Ice could be the key to new ice age as reflective snow sticks around at lower altitudes and latitudes picked up from the open ocean so bring on the new Love weather so much I Live in a mobile home..in 2010 even my kettle froze solid !
