Well the MET office currently has heavy snow for my location tomorrow. After Friday's event anything else is a Brucie bonus so fingers crossed

To be honest, a few days ago I was saying exactly the same thing, but we ended up with a good event yesterday. Really do think Cornwall will see a decent snowfall very soon.

This really is excellent and, have to say, a bit unexpected given the temp late last night. Been out this morning with the kids and built snowmen, snowball fights, and taken plenty of pics. I'm happy for the rest of the winter now.

More or less certain now that Christchurch/Poole/Bournemouth area will see plenty of snow tomorrow. Cold air is going to kick in soon.

I try to keep my expectations low for our part of the country. That way I'm never disappointed if nothing materializes; and anything that does is a bonus.

Interesting post from SK on the MOD thread: For anyone still doubting snowfall potential from tonights ECMWF 12z, ive got access to the full suite Dew points - sub 30F (damn americans, bear in mind 32F is 0c) for the whole run, bar some VERY limited periods of ~35F for the very far southern coastline, and some far south-western counties. SK EDIT - also add 850's to that. Sub 0c all the way through!

To be honest, I think this weekend is not going to happen for us on the south coast. Sleet/Rain, but still plenty of time before winter's out for a decent snowfall.

Really think Devon/Cornwall will get a significant snow event before this winter says adios. Can feel it in me water EDIT: and Dorset:-)
