    It's a bit bizarre on the latest BBC forecast there is no precipitation over Edinburgh and the central belt at 8am, it just seems to miss the area and move into Fife and central Scotland!! Any ideas??

    I am fairly confident Penicuik should have a all snow event, should be far enough inland and 180m asl should help. LS what do u think mate?

    This could end up like the 27th Feb 2001 when the front stalled over NE England and Eastern Scotland, Penicuik had 1 foot level snow from that event with drifts 5 feet or more!!

    Looks like a all Snow event from around midnight right through to tuesday going by BBC news 24 forecast apart from right on the coast interesting times!!

    Sitting at Edinburgh Airport in my taxi, Pentland hills disappearing in the distance looks like a snow shower is Edinburgh bound!!

    Not looking good for Edinburgh and central belt yet again, I don't understand how SW wind carry showers over land in Edinburgh yet SE winds don't and yet we are on the East coast???

    The snow showers were supposed to pile in from the North Sea the weekend just passed but never happened, it did for tayside and Aberdeenshire the winds were south of east and looks to be a SE flow yet again not holding much hope south of the forth! ??
