    Cannot see any snow in the forecast for the weekend, I dont expect any blizzards the charts will back down near the time as they always do!! I reckon it will be raw at the weekend with strong winds and cold rain!! Plus no early warnings or even mentions from Meto

    Not looking to great for snow showers coming into the east of Scotland over the next 2 days looking at the precp charts, after all the promise of the last couple of days!! Downgrade at the last minute as normal. A bit milder overnight in Penicuik with a slight thaw of the lying snow.

    A big downgrade at the last minute what going on? I don't think the Met Office are 100% certain yet!! Hopefully some snow in Penicuik over the next few days think it's a good bet!!

    If we get a direct easterly showers could make it through to the Glasgow area at times, but at present it looks a more SE tilt on the flow!!

    As I keep saying and most ignore this, but fact!! GFS picked this same trend up back in December all the models were going Easterly and GFS changed to Zonal and proved to be correct, the only crumb of comfort for coldies this time is the SSW, but nothing is certain!!

    I seem to remember back in December GFS coming out milder on it's own and turned out to be right!! Maybe a new trend

    Don't want to build any excitement yet as I have a bad feeling the coldest uppers will clip SE England and into France!! Would love to see a strong east wind with snow showers rattling through the central belt please please please lol

    Thankfully it looks like the Edinburgh area will miss the worst of the rain yet again!!!

    High ground in NE of Scotland will do well out of this battle of the cold, quite a lot of snow, everywhere else it's cold rain, I don't buy into these GFS charts showing snow for inland parts further south it ain't gonna happen!!!
