A glorious afternoon after a poor start... uncovered the remaining path in the garden.. in total 27 stepping stones.. followed this with a trip to co op for beer and managed to get some bargains in the reduced to clear.. £39 of food for £7.. my particular favourite was diced venison £4.60 reduced to 92p grabbed both of them..and the home for a dog walk in beautiful sunshine

Yesterday was horrible... dull and cold.. log burner was lit at 3pm and used all evening until bed time.. today looks very similar but is meant to brighten up later.. tomorrow looks glorious before horrendous Sunday... summer will be here soon

Still abroad but hearing reports of torrential rain and even mudslides around Aberdeenshire which is slightly concerning given most of my garden is newly sown grass!
Fingers crossed it's been pretty localised and i'm not returning to a huge mess!
I can always take a walk up and check it for you if you like?

Shocking day, truly awful.. garden is like a swamp, roads are terrible with lots of standing water around.
Good news we finally got a firewood delivery.. not the usual hardwood, but kiln dried Larch is the next best thing and around half the price of hardwood so a win win..

Another horrid day here... like mid winter. You wouldn't think it's summer in 3 weeks... still no wood for the fire. I've never had so much trouble in getting firewood delivered, its crazy..

Horrible week here... we've all had Covid again, wife really unwell.. the weathers been a bit up n down.. couple of ok days but nothing to stop me lighting the stove daily. Organised a local lad to deliver more supplies and was due here today at 4pm.. 6pm a message "sorry cant do it now as all sold out"... so now im left with just 6 logs to burn and no other supplier locally wants to be bothered to come out for 1 cube of hardwood...and i would rather freeze to death than pay a supermarket £8 for a bag of bits that wouldnt last an hour..
Anyways enough of my crying.. happy bank holiday weekend everybody..

So after a few more mornings of Badger garden destruction i sort advise from landlord... and apparently male pee is very offensive to the badgers, so under the cover of darkness Saturday night after a few vintage ciders i took a stroll down to the cabin at the bottom of the garden and let rip... and almost no sign of Mr Bader since.. now im not sure how often the pee needs administrating to the area etc but if it works i will be down the bottom of the garden more often...
Oh weather site stuff... a glorious looking day here, a little cool in the breeze but other than that a fine day..

We have a badger who is getting closer to the back of the house every night...and have been informed by landlord that he lives under the cabin at the bottom of the garden..
He spends his nights digging up my lawn meaning 20 mins every morning replacing the various bit of turf he has dug up..
Video from 2020 of said Badger..

As MS mentioned it's been snowing steadily for the last half hour or so. Settling instantly on the hard frozen ground with lovely fluffy dry flakes that are being blown around in the wind.
Radar looks like very heavy incoming... kids at school in Huntly asking what happens if bus cant get them...lol.. my reply.. sleeping at school
