The last few model runs give me the idea that we could still yet snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.. things definitely look like small adjustments could start to make a bigger difference..
Im pretty sure the next few days of model output will come up with sone surprises regarding the milder blip..

Yes, much bickering, told you so's etc in there today. It was an interesting build up though and i thought models did well to get us to where we are consistently, but i can see why they are disappointed...options of prolonged outbreak (??), easterly (???), etc but looks unlikely now. To my eye though this is prolonged in "UK" terms...its often just 1-3 day events.
Beyond next week then probs wetter/milder/windy but lots of interst in long range still to my eye...but I'll do my best to live in the here and now....
So, here we go!!! Taps aff today and looks a good day to get some jobs done , then who is going to report the first snow in here And when... ? 🌨
A full week pretty much of some potential for pretty much everyone. And some thoroughly fresh air to enjoy even if you don't . I love weather
First report will be @Halfamilefromnowhere in Northerly outbreak i reckon..
Definitely a day to get stuff done outside before " the coldest winter in memeory" unleashes its 8 days or horror and chaos

35 minutes ago, edo said:don't worry @Mair Snawwill post 100 times as soon as a heavy band of showers hits on Sunday
I will take interest if that feature on Tuesday looks like it will hit here on Sunday nights models.
You can bet your life i will be in full on spamming mode come Sunday Morning... look out for "snaw" "wow heavy snaw" "ive never seen snaw like it" and "this has to be the heaviest snaw ive ever seen"...

The above has caused consternation in significant swathes of the MOD thread as you might expect. Solution? Move to live several hundred miles north, or nip across the channel and set up home in Northern France (must be plenty of spare dingies is storage in Kent somewhere). Alternatively, wait for the next model run as it'll all change again.
Looking like a half decent chance for us north of the border of seeing snow, with the N & NE contingent maybe starting to see wintry showers from Sunday onwards. Except @Hairy Celtof course, as north of the central belt he appears to have chosen the least snowy place to live.
Its @edo and the Perth crew i fear for in that snaw chart...
