  1. Incredible blizzard here now. In five minutes the road has been covered.
  2. Just had one of those very brief blizzards, 40mph wind gusts, tons of snow hitting the front of the house off the North Sea and then nothing.
  3. Just back from my walk along Gorleston beach and it appears that my laughter (age) lines have become frozen solid, not a good look.
  4. Very sunny and bright here. Off work today so I will be driving to Gorleston after lunch with the missus for a walk along the beach. Should be quite bracing.
  5. Not a lot happening here either. Other than the sea spray blasting over the seawall very little to look at.
  6. We had a 15 minute blizzard, now lovely sunshine. I have a feeling that might be our lot for today. Jersey looks the place to be right now.
  7. Can't believe I'm going to bed while it's still snowing outside. Just got a better offer so goodnight all and hope you get what you're after tonight.
  8. All I can see here is snow, 35mph wind and snow blowing straight off the North Sea and across me on the cliffs. I find it quite impressive, the cat finds it incredibly boring and has gone to sleep.
  9. Back home now in the most easterly point on Netweather, and it's quite breezy, very cold, and incredibly dry. So I will be spending the next hour drinking French Red Wine in celebration of the snow that Jersey will be getting tomorrow.
  10. The wimp in charge of the work at the sub station just said it's too cold and we can go home. Whatever happened to the bulldog spirit?
  11. I'm working at a sub station in Hopton about 2 miles from you and it's as dry as a bone. About time Yarmouth got lucky.
  12. Just to point out that the ppn showing on the radar falling on Lowestoft from the North Sea is incredibly light. A couple of flakes a minute, and the "blob" in the North Sea is disappearing fast as it approaches land.
  13. I have also had an impressive snowy winter in my mind, just a shame I have had so little snow outside of my mind.
  14. My Met Office App just sent me a warning. 22.02.13. Please don't keep checking the radar for miniscule flurries of snow you sad little man, get a life. End of warning.
  15. Amber warning, is that all? Surely the government should be organising one of those Cobra meetings, and if we had one they should call out the National Guard.
  16. It is snowing here, but I'm a little concerned about using the word "snowing" as I could be prosecuted under the Trade Descriptions Act.
  17. I think it's a bit rich people blaming the radar for getting this incredibly light snow/snizzle/sleet slightly wrong. The precipitation is so inconsequential that it's almost invisible.
  18. I was going to post my time-lapse film of the snow so far from this "Beast from the East" but after viewing it back I have decided to delete it.
