  1. Give it chance! Euro high has only just slipped away! Make your opinion at least after a couple of days. It's very mild not cold at all.
  2. I have written a number of articles on historical winters on UKweatherworld. http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum/index.php?/forum/140-weather-in-the-past/
  3. Awful start to November, IMO. Records may have been broken but it has been awful here. Visibility has been poor, virtually no sun, horrid.
  4. I was referring to BFTV's listing for 1st November. https://forum.netweather.tv/topic/84243-november-2015-your-cet-forecasts/?p=3277003 11.5C based on that GFS run for 3rd but infact 9.9C provisionally.
  5. It looks as though the mist, fog and low cloud have given CETs lower than first thought.
  6. It looks to me that it has a problem picking up some of the more extreme seasons. For instance May 2012 was suggesting an average summer, precipitation wise when it was a washout, August 2011 was suggesting a below average Autumn temperature wise, when it was exceptionally mild.October 2010 was suggesting a milder than average November 2010 to January 2011 when infact it was well below average.
  7. From west Manchester, need a good cold front to clear this crap
  8. Met Office says Trawsgoed. One word: confusing.
  9. Peter, December 1978 was anything but dry, it was one of the wettest Decembers on record. The Christmas period was exceptionally wet, that was one of the problems, as the rain area slowly sank southwards, the cold air flooded southwards literally over flooded areas.
  10. It's not foggy but not everywhere in Greater Manchester is sunny. Still low cloud and misty looking. Not sure if it will clear up.
  11. That's the 4th month this year, taking into account rounding to first decimal place, that has ended on a whole number. Feb: 4.0 Apr: 9.0 Jun: 14.0 Oct: 11.0 I wonder when the last time that at least 4 months in the year ended with a whole number?
  12. Both September and October have turned out drier than average for the British Isles, markedly so for Scotland and Northern Ireland and by the looks of it the first few days of November for England and Wales don't look too wet.
  13. I am assuming it's tongue in cheek this. It's that or a load of tut. November 2013 was actually below the 1961-90 average and November 2012 was actually below the 1971-2000 average,
  14. Lightning wise 1st July Sporadic lightning overnight: 3rd/4th July
  15. Snow wise, these were the highlights from my time-lapses from 2015......thus far
