    Temps too high here at sea level for it to stick. Nice to see it still going though, more than the "odd flake of snow blowing in the wind" that was on the BBC TV forecast.

    Early signs of settling in the usual spots here. Meaning it should be settling higher up in the valleys. Shame it won't last.

    Seems SE Wales has a nice blob of heavier precipitation for a while !!

    Fluffy big flakes in Newport. nothing has settled all afternoon but nice to see something at least.

    Sunny spells here. Radar is a little bit misleading as there's no snow falling.

    No snow down south, looks like another boring, dry easterly again. Northern half of the UK is being hit by a lot of snow showers. And with Fridays snow now looking very unlikely, we may have to wait until next winter for a good covering of snow IMBY.

    A cold week is no fun when it's also dry! Next weekend is looking interesting for heavy snow though. fingers crossed for S Wales to be in the firing line this time..

    Just looked outside and there's snow on the car windscreens. Must've been half asleep and missed it earlier, oh well at least it snowed a little bit in Newport! :-)

    Snow reports are so close yet so far!! Altitude will be the deciding factor probably. Snow in Cwmbran, Abergavenny, Pontypool.. and the rain pours in Newport as usual.

    Miserable day. cold. wet. windy. We've had a big snow event to the south recently and now one to the north, the odds are surely in our favour down in S Wales?

    Over half a metre of snow? Oh god if only it was further south. Boo!! Cold, rain and strong winds are not enjoyable.

    Rain is all we've seen in Newport today. Very much doubt well see anything decent on Friday!

    This winter has gotta be one of the best in the past 10+ years IMBY. So many days of falling snow, settling snow and cold temps (although not reaching too low). Definitely better than December 2010, for here anyway. The norm is for a few days of snow, with barely anything settling just once in a blue moon!

    Winter is far from over! The posters who wrote off the winter and were eagerly awaiting spring in a few days after the mild charts surely feel silly now?

    Very, very far from mild, the majority of the UK is 0-5 degrees. Doesn't look mild in the near future to me
