erm not sure I want that, looks positively scarey. Considering we've had a couple of storms with this set up, but much less Cape this year, that really took off big time here.
I'm sure I've heard a few rubles here, the last one I think I even saw a flash. Very distant sounding though, and nothing on lightning maps unless I'm hearing the stuff in brighton.
Been dry all day here in dover, lovely sunny weather, caught some showers while on the bus to canterbury though, and one in canterbury while waiting for the bus home. None of those were thunderary.
The low cloud is clearing and see slower moving altocumulus some quite big above them, along with cas, and AC cas. If this develops then there will be storms, not related to durinul heating.
Got to be honest, been a good year for convection In the uk. Not sure the last time I saw three consecutive days of storms forecast. Not to mention there's been something somewhere since I can't remember when.
If there's damage on the ground, however slight I personally wouldn't call it a funnel, funnels do not touch the ground. That was a weak tornado, which would have been easier to spot in the states due to dust, if it wasn't raining heavy obviously.
