Just looked on lightning maps, don't think the current storm will do much over here, Euro 4 say's yes to imports, but later ones. We will see soon enough I expect.
It will be for now, we'll see if it's strong enough later I expect. I think at first you will see it weakening, then as the evening goes on start making some inroads if we are lucky. That's dependant on a few things though. Like if the mlcape is strong enough, who knows.
Was goner say my weather station is broken, it's telling me there'll be showers later. May be it's on to something afterall. I won't hold my breath though. Still clear blue sky here. Although the occasional bit of cas has appeared from time to time, not sure if it's moving west or north west.
I think they are surface based but it has been known, In july a few years back a surface based MCS did make it across, but it was warmer temp wise before hand, and the Channel was probably quite a bit warmer to.
Enjoy it, I don't think dry weather happens often over there. I'm probably wrong mind. It's the same as tourists coming to London expecting rain. It can happen, but London is quite dry compared to most of the UK.
We have come close before, there's a close strick in this storm at some point.
Just incase it happened before this vid started, I'll post a quicker one. Hit hit one of the stages.
I'm wondering if it's the same storm, or from the same system anyway, when I lived in Croydon, we had a similar storm to what you describe, and after it there was fog about while the moisture from the storm was rising.
