  1. Nothing dry about last December's cold, many places in the se got snow. Well we certainly don't want the latter, but north enough for snow would be nice.
  2. Just to mention cold has definitely not gone on those charts, so basically people are moaning cause it's gonna be cold and sunny. Strange people as that's actually good weather for winter.
  3. Seriously, it's just showing the spread, each line is where certain lows are heading, and gives in this case a huge margin of choices. Screams if more runs needed.
  4. There was a famous one, but it came from the east and literally shut SE London down for three days.
  5. No it doesn't, in fact slack often means there's room for a trough to form.
  6. Going by there article today, already to late, they must have seen this somewhere lol
  7. There is no such thing , days like yesterday I call safe snow, you watch the beauty of it falling, and temporary coverings, then don't slip e everywhere afterwards.
  8. This might be of interest to some here, the full report of the Jersey tornado, official rating t6 The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (TORRO) WWW.TORRO.ORG.UK TORRO is a privately-supported research body specialising in severe convective weather in Britain and Ireland
  9. Heavy stuff over for here, got only light stuff coming in from the channel, it tried but to many gaps for landing here. Was nice to see falling snow, well it's still snowing tbf.
  10. This looks like the main event and it's landing. Boom. Edit glad my kids walk home from school, could be some problems for those further away, need to get up hill to get out of Dover.
  11. Think that initial trough moving west, is the condition change point, seems colder behind it. Will probably be more later as even colder air moves west
  12. I can stop moaning now seeing flakes lol. Now got to hope it's not distruptive, mum and uncle arriving from London today by coach for tomorrow.
  13. Saw some in December which landed, we'll see what this lot does, sounds like by the time conditions are right, it'll be northwest of me.
  14. Not good news for me unless it melts by 12:45, or to anyone coming down from Chelmsford or oxley. Not true lol, was nothing falling here, the heavier stuff though probably is.
  15. Actually there always has been it just your getting the warnings now, probably a part of joining a weather community, you learn the links join whatever apps and get all the warnings available
