  1. nah i love my nokia 6310i not getting another mobile ever
  2. i really cant see a white Xmas most likely be warm and windy, weve not really had an autumn, so the SW gales all through december and january i only think there is a chance of a cold spell when mentioned on bbc tv weather at half 6 then i look forward to it, otherwise its much too far away and, id say fi is 4 days and more away
  3. always look every monday but they always go for mild and unsettled, the default pattern although last winter it was right, i always think bbc weather overdo the temps, (there was no way it was going to be 8oC today, it only reached 4.2oC), the netweather forum i find more accurate discussing models, and wetterzentrale charts
  4. dunno the temps but 88 looks like a very warm Xmas www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/1988/Rrea00119881225.gif dont want one like that again my best xmas 2004, 1995 and 2001 were also cold
  5. yeah thanks done it now, dunno how it happened i never changed it
  6. all threads seem to be giving me just a list of names instead of the actual post, it used to (up until today) give me the post rather than having to click on everyones name one by one, to read post
  7. very foggy now has been all day but thicker now my max temp 9.7oC
  8. pure guess what i think (sorry about nothing scientific) first 2 days dry and mild, then becoming slightly cooler from the 3rd-8th with a high out to the west, possible frost at night, 9th-12th northerly wind sunnier skies with snow in N scotland on high levels, 13th-30th zonal with SW or West winds and low pressure dominating and wind and rain (general zonal weather showers sun as well 11-15C south 7-11C north), the ugly atlantic coming back and no sn0w anywhere
  9. exactly the same as sundog for my weather type, rime being fantastic makes it look white, 29th dec 2005 completely white everywhere with no sn0w worst thing is missing snow when its due like 30th dec 2005 and march 12th 2006
  10. why cant that happen now, snow like that, even if we got that now it would be no where near that cold
  11. i remember some of it Xmas day was very cold and frosty but no snow, i think i remember sn0w around 20th, i do remember easterly gales and lots of sn0w on saturday 30th december, dont remember jan and feb but charts look good and i probably had sn0w
  12. pure guess but i reckon Xmas 2007 will be warm and damp and windy with atlantic air at 11oC after all that is our most likely weather with our prevailing south-westerlies, the last 2 Xmases have been fairly cold with high pressure in charge, so more chance of a warm one my great white Xmas www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/2004/Rrea00120041225.gif
  13. i remember that snow of 18th november 2004 was a mild morning here as well then turned to heavy snow at 5pm, even at 76m asl i had a good covering although here it was gone by the weekend www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/2004/Rrea00120041118.gif, the chart for midnight shows it mild but with arctic air moving in
  14. it would be good if i see any snow at all in winter 07-08 here im only 76m asl and way too far inland, highest hills of scotland may see snow tues-thurs 25-26 sep i really cant see any snow at low levels at all in winter 08 in inland central southern england
  15. i remember that snow had a lot from 21-24th but damn the time of year lots of partial thaws, need thise setups nowadays in december but so unlikely i also had snow on 23-24th feb 06 but didnt last long
  16. ay before my time cor dream chart www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/1979/Rrea00119790215.gif why cant we get those charts now my main sn0w was thet of 19-20 nov 1996
  17. it tells you on metcheck.com type post code or town in i am 76m asl much too low for sn0w
  18. id say the best time for cold synoptic charts is from 15th dec to 15th jan, long nights, sun shines on less surfaces so thaws less sn0w and very cold nights. love snow in feb and march but it soon thaws as sun is higher and stronger, the sun is really high at the end of feb and id say the time of year is not all that cold snow at end of nov is better than end of feb as days are shorter
  19. ill feel miserable if we get weeks on end of zonal conveyor belt lows and gales and rain and 11oC all winter, i wanna see a winter this time round
  20. the earliest snowfall at low levels in england appears to be 31st 0ctober 1934 when 2 inches fell at belvoir castle, leicestershire, also in the costwolds november 1st 1942 ill be lucky to get sn0w in dec and jan in my crappy area 76m asl now in 2000's
  21. ive had 6 25oC all in summer 3 in june and 3 in aug, my highest april temp was 22.1C highest may temp 23.8oC, i cant see my area getting 25oC in september with the high in this position it sucks, raining now been cloudy a lot
  22. i wasnt around for this winter but read about it, the dream charts, if only winters like this still existed dream chart looked through wetterzentrale archive charts www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/1978/Rrea00119781231.gif what a new years eve
  23. winter (or nowadayz extended autumn B) ) 1st Dec - 28 feb spring 1st march - 31st may summer 1st june - 31st aug autumn 1st sep - 30th nov the way i always say when seasons start
  24. Metcheck off again, been 0ff since at least 1pm
