i think tuesday and wednesday 3rd-4th april will be very miserable and gloomy even drizzle possible for my area. Easter its self i reckon high pressure in control but knowing the midlands fairly cloudy, temp at around 13oC max, my guess for my neck of the woods
Ay Good friday 1949 www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/Rrea00119490415.gif before my time but looks hot the gfs still going with a high for easter 2007 www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3841.html my guess has still gotta be high pressure dominated and very cloudy at 12oC
id rate the 'winter' 2 0ut 0f 10, i had no snow at all in december, just an evening all gone by morning dusting in january (23rd) i had around 3 inches on 8th feb and a further 3 inches ish on 9th feb although a partial thaw inbetween, 18th march 2 cms in the evening didnt have any on morning of 22nd march i know a lot did, i hope for a better non atlantic dominated winter 07-08
my guess is anticyclonic dull and dismal with a temp of around 12oC like the coming days www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3841.html, Easter Saturday also shows a high to our West
quite good for me, i had heavy snow showers sunday night, did stick, everything on monday, snow morning then hail, thunder, lightning later a flurry of snow on tuesday
heavy snow last night, was snowing at 6.10am had around 1-2cms but now sunny, Damn i dont think ill have any more, the wind is a straight northerly i need it on an angle
decent spring day today mainly sunny with a high of 10.8C Min temp 2.6C, 2 days in a row without rain amazing!
this time last month though was VERY exciting and even tense incase we missed the 'big' event
winter crap but the double whammy of snow 8-9 feb was ace. but only one cold spell with snow from Nov 15th ish to mid March PATHETIC
i hope our future winters are not gonna be completely zonal and westerly dominated with CC and GW etc
the last time i saw lying snow in november was 28th Nov 2005 from an arctic airstream, there was a thaw though the next day www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/2005/Rrea00120051128.gif my favourite (memorable) snow event was on 19th November 1996 our last real dumping, it was a great cold spell 17-24 Nov 1996 www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/1996/Rrea00119961118.gif www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/1996/Rrea00119961119.gif www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/1996/Rrea00119961120.gif also further snow in the form of showers on the 23rd www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/1996/Rrea00119961123.gif
im hoping for a coldish spell early march, it has appeared on 2 0r 3 runs, possible northwesterly or cold lows www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn2881.html www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn3001.html you never know we had snow in stafford of a n ortherly from 2-5 March last year
gotta be the white Xmas of 2004, not that much snow around 2-3cms but a completely white covering great timing!
