    Each to their own off course but i just dont get this desire amongst some member's to see hurricane force winds sweep across the country on xmas day of all days! Storm force winds are just bad news,end of. I for one hope the worst of the weather stays out in the atlantic this christmas.

    Why is it always T+240? Bit like the other half finally cleaning the cooker,always T+240 Looking at the 6z with my untrained eye,i can't see anything to get exited about,quite the opposite in fact.Strong jet with dart board lows lined up to hit us. Of course,that's all set to change post T+240 well,one can dream.

    Tbf,Darwin,my pet Bearded Dragon could give a forecast of Dec being fairly Zonal with Hp close at times.Hardly sticking one's neck out.Tomorrow i'm likely to go to the little boys roomCourse it probably is,just like every other month.

    We are having a barbi on sat lunchtime,before the Eng v Wales game. Could have had one this lunchtime,sat outside after work,would actually call it warm in shelter from the breeze. Looking like winds going Easterly for next week.Good news is that it will dry the ground out.Bad news,will be chilly in the breeze. On your side now Knocker until November when i become a Coldy again. Here's hoping next winter will see a run on blue crayon sales at tesco.

    Why, for the love of that man on high,do people still want to see COLD weather? Dont get it. Gotta get out more,spring is such a wonderful period,full of hope. Why would you not want that? baffling. Honestly think some people would welcome WW3 just to get a nuclear winter!!!

    So typical to get these chart's appearing now,such a waste. What are great charts for the winter,become horrid ones for the start of spring. N/NE winds in March,no thanks,although it might dry things up a bit. Been raining steady all day today,lovely.

    Looking like a lovely weekend. Gale-force East winds with the risk of driving(cold) rain. Dosen't get better than that Why can't we get these synoptics in winter,proper. Such a shame.

    One thing which has changed for sure since i was a kid is the decline in periods of East winds(not just in winter,but at all time) Used to get East blows regulary,believe me,i know,nightmare for fishermen on this coast.

    Yep,think iv'e had enough now,it aint gonna happen this winter,me think's. Typical though,had a break in north devon last weekend. Went up on Exmoor,not a flake in site,got back to the site,turned on T.V to see kids building snowmen on Dartmoor Cant even get pick the right Moor!! Looking for some spring warmth now and hopeing for a nice summer. Have enjoyed the roller-coaster that is this forum,will def be back,next year. As they say down here "cheers and gone"

    Hi. Going North today for a little 3 day break in woolacoombe . Where's the best spot on Exmoor to maybe see something white? Going through a few locations,BBC gives Snow for Winsford,tomorrow. Is that the high spot? Dont know exmoor at all. Cheers
