  1. Just came back from Asda Ipswich and it was certainly sleet hitting the screen on the A14.
  2. Yes i would have loved to see a couple of inches here, but if it doesn't happen i'm not going to get upset about it, thats just the way it is, though from a comedy point of view some peoples posts are hilarious, its like telling my 4 year old she can't have sweets before dinner.
  3. I know where your coming from BB, i asked questions in there a couple of times recently and it seemed that because i wasn't part of the popular gang i got nothing in the way of replies, so i made my way over here for the last cold period and it seems a lot friendlier with a lot more people prepared to help when questions are asked. I know its cruel but you did make me laugh a lot when you couldn't get the hang of posting a photo, but i did try to help unlike many others.
  4. Yes its the barmy H&S brigade, luckily my daughter goes to a school where the head does everything possible to stay open. Saying that though i just took my other daughter to pre-school which is in the same grounds as the Primary, and while i was there a huge avalanche of snow slid off about ten of the solar panels on the roof and into the playground, they were on dinner break at the time but luckily there wasn't any children underneath it, i think a small child would have been flattened by the amount that came down.
  5. Yes very sparkly out there now. A guy on Join if you live in Ipswich facebook page reckons Ipswich has had 10 Inches, can anyone in Ippy confirm this? I have my doubts reading peoples comments of depths on here.
  6. Yes it does look like some kind of streamer, thought it was all over, moon and clear skies and then that last lump seemed to just turn Westwards and it does seem to be building at the rear.
  7. Last night the North Sea worked in our favour here, but today its absolutely killing the front along the coast.
  8. I'm in Bramford on the other side, like i said it started really fine but within a couple of minutes the ground was all covered.
  9. It was about 21.45 when it finally built in to Clacton and Colchester beneath us and headed straight for us, it started here just after 22.00. Have always been just on the edge on this side so nothing too intense but it started covering everything as soon as it started falling. How much do you have on that side? It looks to be a lot better than over here.
  10. I think someone in the Leiston/Aldeburgh area has got control of the Blob, One minute the heavy stuff is heading for Lowestoft then suddenly veers in that direction, then the next heavy patch is heading direct hit for Ipswich and as if by magic it turns North and they are getting it again.
  11. Sadly not, its dropping south i'm getting close to the top edge now, probably another hour for me, a bit longer for you.
  12. In correction to my last post (i should have looked at the last few radar grabs) as TEITS has said the low center has dropped down the East coast and is now over the North of the region.
  13. Ok the band that went through the UK today was from a low just North of Scotland, as that low weakens a new circulation has started as a new low has formed around Middlesborough, that new low starts to pull the rain/snow band over the top of the circulation and down the otherside, it is a tight circulation and this new circulation will slip SE during the night. Hope this helps
  14. This is the wrap around, frontal band starting to pull back West, low center sits just under Middlesborough and is sinking SE.
