  1. Looks like our chances of snow have gone now! Sorry! Wouldn't upload but a copy of the front page of the Daily Express has 48 hours of snow hell for the UK as headline!
  2. It seems from Twitter that Joe laminate floori is doubting the reliability of the GFS model for even the US!
  3. Just edited my previous post. Sorry dyslexic, thus missed a few words out (and writing from a mobile & the iOS autocorrect doesn't help). As I said in an earlier post. Hopefully we can get rid of that warm front before Sunday. Otherwise it would be cruel luck for the east and southeast again!
  4. I can't rule out whether Dutch Weatherman might be an English man in disguise, although I think he is Dutch. However I don't know why a Dutchman is interested in English weather. Perhaps he feels sorry for us due our lack of snow over the years. Hope is he is right says we are in for a 'snow bomb' on Sunday and Monday!
  5. Hopefully that damn warm front will go somewhere else before Sunday, as basically that thing is the difference between rain to snow event or something very special. Are there are snow gods in any religions we can pray to?
  6. Basically not much hope of a repeat of 2010. Thought the 995 low on the UKMO on th 11th February would mean significant snow. I had relatives who wanted to come over from India for a trip to see us next week. Told them to wait until Spring due to the risk of heavy snow in the East of England (one of them in their 80s). Told them to delay until Spring with a link to the UKMO 12z chart. Will be pretty frustrating & embarassing if nothing comes next week!
  7. Live in Essex. 15 miles from the coast! Snow wasn't brilliant a few weeks ago started thawing after a day
  8. According to Ian Ferguson on the models thread it looks like the west and midlands will only get the heaviest snow on Sunday despite the ECM and UKMO showing the East and Southeast getting the heaviest. I hope the East and southeast doesn't miss out again
  9. I thought the UKMO 12z showed the heaviest snow for the east and southeast on Monday Morning. Now it seems only the west will get it again. When is East Anglia going to get its big snow event. Might as well give up!
  10. Only just had a little of time now to have a quick look at the models. Would any of these models bring heavy snow to the East. Been very little compared to the West as of late!
  11. Do you think anything will arrive in Colchester today? This is incredibly frustrating as I was looking forward to something!
  12. My Met Office App shows light rain for Colchester for Essex on Monday whilst everywhere else in Essex & London shows snow. Can this forecast change I absolutely had enough of rain.
  13. Thanks for the welcome and hints Mac_SE Love the es on here. Also learn't a lot from a number of more knowledgeable members on here! One question about the ensemblies. Saw earlier on about the expected dumping from the West. Disappointed it wouldn't reach the East (live in Essex). Just seen the weather forecast that it will also hit the east and southeast. Just saw the ensembles seems to show a similar dumping from the North Sea being expected that is merging with the dumping from the West. I am right? Don't want to miss out on all the fun!
  14. The previous post is my first post! Just to say for the past 2 months I have been viewing this site especially the model threads. Really enjoyed it and find it interesting. Didn't realise model watching can be so exciting. Learn't a lot!
  15. Any chance of Snow for Colchester today or tomorrow. Frustratingly that band of heavy snow due for Kent tonight just misses us by a few miles.
