    Just back from walking the hound. Saw jams everywhere then a huge heavy shower started, so we had no option but to shelter inn the pub?. Anyhow from there we saw stacks of cars not getting up one of the main hills in low fell which is a bus route. Still more coming down.

    Travel news on BBC radio 2 has just put a warning of white out at Angle of the North. Yup they are correct. Even the gritted road is white now. ?

    Gone very dark here too. The little ice balls have started. I have noticed the showers start that way with the bigger flakes to follow.

    Quite a heavy snow shower now in Gateshead. The roads are all clear. But should add to the 3 to 4 inches we had overnight.

    So so sorry that you had to say good bye to buster. It's horrible....really horrible. Hold tight to the snow memories. My 7 month puppy is at my feet. He has long shaggy fur and so far this winter I have learnt that he gets huge ice balls on his paws. So I took a chance and ordered the extra large dog boots from Amazon...These are supposed to be for giant breeds........far to small. ?

    The gritted road outside has turned white. In fact all white except tips of grass in the garden. Reckon we have an inch. It's very wet snow mind. On the radar, Certainly the yellow will hit us.

    Sure it wasn't the ground hog day animal. Yeah I know that day in the states has been and gone. Pavements and untreated roads are all white here.

    First flakes in Gateshead. Mind you lamp post watching is extra hard with the LED street lamps. Or what ever they are. As much use as a chocolate tea pot.....actually scrub that. You could eat a chocolate teapot.

    Hia. We often do. It's really odd often along the team valley there is nothing and as you climb the hill you go through a snow line. However next week I should imagine the snow will be every where. ?

    I am in Gateshead and was seriously worried about the size of the hail about 2cm across. The lightning wasn't as dramatic as earlier. Will try and upload any good images.
