OMG I cant believe it ! Are you saying this is it another 'non' event for us. Can't believe i was stupid enough to believe we had a chance this time and stayed up for it!
-
Medway will mostly be a nothing according to meto. They had it on the money a winter so have no reason to doubt now.
Good luck and enjoy to those elsewhere. Another so close but yet so far for us here.

Just miserable here in gillingham
Here we go again!
-
please tell me it isnt snowing in medway yet!
Still in london. :-(
Hi, We have had sleet which has made the ground wet and in the last 5 mins we did have some snow but was very short lived. keep you posted.
-
Snowing in Rainham, Kent for last 20mins, its been very light then a few mins of heavier stuff then light again, Only sticking to the roof tops though.

Meto warnings...????
oh for goodness sake. Huh ? Do you really think we need a warning every time a light snow shower passes through.? I think we going alittle over the top dont you with these statements.
Think you are on the wrong thread, we don't take ourselves quite that seriously, chill.
-
Thanks all for the explanations .

Can someone please translate what they are talking about on the Mod Thread. Are they saying we are up for another cold/snowey spell before long?
-
Snowing in Rainham Kent finally, after hours of sleet.... which makes me feel a bit happier, after yet again spending another evening reading about my neighbours in Essex having a snowfest. But I have a feeling ill wake up in the morning and there will be nothing to show for it. Also Its 0.0c here

According to those on the grown up thread we are going to have a 'slush fest', boring...
-
Simon Keeling isn't making much of this event for low levels. I think we're going to have a cold wet day/night.
Thats a relief, he called it completely wrong for me in January.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on Netweather, but after being called a troll and then finding other members agreeing with that assumption I have decided to bow out. Good luck to all the snow lovers you deserve it. Get snowed in, turn up the fire, pour yourself a stiff drink and watch the white stuff pour down.
Special thanks to Rypris Ponce for putting up with my nonsense.
Someones tired.....no smilies

And that was that..... Meto just issued new warnings and Im now out of the yellow, suprise suprise.

Steve Murr has posted a brilliant chart on the Mod Thread #501 that shows beginners how to read it. Maye someone clever can put it on our thread.
-
Morning, The Mod Thread seems to be agreeing with BBC Weather this morning. The Midlands and North will be buried in snow and the South will be Rain.
I do hope it changes,.... we all need to do our snow dance.
-
Even with the Met Office on board now, I still am feeling very sceptical. Possibly after 'believing' too much in January and convincing friends and family on how much snow we were going to get.... unfortunately it didn't actually happen in our part of Kent... So not getting any hopes up.
However, I don't want to be sitting here Monday reading about Essex and Surrey having a snow fest, while the rain is beating against my window....

Someone should ask him to post in Dutch to see!
No way, his posts are pure gold, he is one of the best things about that thread.

North south and west of us has had better cold spell than us...... Hoping but not thinking it will finally give us something of note....ie over 10cm mybe 15-20cm like last february..... Doubt it very much though.... Maybe a ticket to boston might surfice.....usa.....
I can’t complain really as I was very lucky as my hubbie treated us to a holiday of a lifetime and we went to Lapland for Christmas (not the one just gone) no shortage of snow and -24 when your eyelashes turn white!
It was truly magical. Guess which year (considering my 7 year old at the time had very little experience of proper snow) yep you get it.... 2010.....The flight was 10 hours delayed at Gatwick as the toilet pipes had frozen up! So when it comes to UK snow, not particularly lucky, lol.
