  1. Don't even talk about it I'm exposed to anything from the north/ northwest. Scandi high no use for Ireland as it rarely reaches us but u can get a good easterly from a Greenland high, but then I suppose I'm further east than u pom!
  2. Smithy that sounds very depressing there's still plenty going on weather wise in the UK and Ireland. Potentially a large storm heading down the North sea which is a big concern for the east coast. Snow isn't everything!
  3. Smithy the 18z still doesn't offer much snow, the coldest uppers miss us and away from higher ground mostly sleet, rain and a lot of wind.
  4. Good one about time we had a new thread, hopefully a lot to discuss.
  5. Smithy we might have as wet weather as Scotland but definitely not as cold! They definitely have more days of lying snow than here further south and west!
  6. Sorry guys I'm not a Trekkie but even if next weeks snow event doesn't come off I'm sure we'll get a snow event at some stage in December, everything looks set up for repeated attempts at northerly outbreaks. Hey and what better expert than Santa Shaker thinks we'll get snow for Christmas
  7. Big problem is it's fi and wouldnt take a big shift east to miss us, but if comes off Fantastic!!!
  8. Looks good Ronan hopefully will end up like that. Smithy if every winter was like 2010 it would be too predictable, no discussion thread! The joys of living in an island with seas fed by the Gulf Stream.
  9. I'm not too concerned by cold yet but these dull sky's r driving me mad we're going to miss the "comet of the century" if this continues!
  10. Wind is the big problem tonight, lights r flickering I better look for candles!!
  11. Great to see the video of the models from dec10 once in a generation event I fear!
  12. Let's not all fall out over snow. What's happened to The Watcher to sort this all out. He's gone AWOL
  13. Definitely no lack of precipitation here but all sleet
  14. Just outside Ballintoy (North Antrim), 110m elevation too close to sea to get much snow this early! I'll try to update my profile when I get to a PC.
  15. Gary somehow this website makes snow hunting more stressful but also a lot more fun
  16. I agree big lad for those of us near the coast this will always be poor this early in the season. Good hard frosts for future events will be fine
  17. Roller coaster again, everything changes yet again!
  18. Oh dear my fault my phone hadn't updated since MS this morning at 8.30 see all your posts now. Still depressing models though!
