  1. Hopefully colder uppers at weekend or else it will be same again usual suspects ie Pom heavy snow rest sleet/snow esp within 15 miles or so from north coast.
  2. There's always this weekend for another chance
  3. The amber warning a bit over the top, just drove from Belfast to north coast past antrim, ballymena, Ballymoney no where any more than a few centimetres. Possibly a bit more overnight but I can't see any major disruption.
  4. Mind u the thread been open since May! Just checked We've jumped 90 pages since start of November
  5. Yeah they're getting excited over some easterlies!
  6. Couple of weeks ago the temps were predicted days in advance very accurately, some of us had snow other dry with frost, surely the predicted temps are much higher this time any snow lying will be wet and melt very quickly! Surely Sunday Monday should be better when have a direct northerly
  7. Everyone far too happy on this thread so I'll be a bit grumpy and jealous. Winds r going to be too strong for us on the coast to get much lying snow! I'm worried the jealousy might kill me Seriously though looking very good for everyone inland
  8. Is this definitely nailed on, why have met office mostly sleet and rain down on the precipitation forecasts on wed and thurs?
  9. Daniel I love your enthusiasm!
  10. I'm not sure now looking good but it looks as if only a shift eastwards of 100 miles and all we get is cold rain. Mind you our odds are better than anywhere else than Scotland. Also on the north coast I might only get sleet a few miles further in land snow
  11. I love it when posters on model thread mention N Ireland, snow and shovels in the same sentence!
  12. Model thread quite boring at the moment everyone in the regional threads, it's amazing the number of posts in a short space of time in the other regional threads!
  13. Thanks Mountain that helps explain it in lay-mans language, here's hoping!
  14. Sorry MS can you explain what's changed in the charts to increase the chances of snow from the sliders, thought there was still a high risk of rain for lower lying areas?
  15. Winter wonderland here!? Definitely the best prolonged winter weather since 2010
  16. Yeah you're right just showers but ok covering now, missed out on all the fun last night!
  17. No lying snow here last night but has started snowing heavily now and ground is white, must be the front coming in now!
  18. Why do you think that? temps will drop and heavy showers forecast most of which will be wintry and hopefully snow!
  19. Definitely an interesting week coming up, what are the risks with the weather front mentioned on Monday, will it be cold enough for all or just higher elevations?
  20. Was reading it as well, giving quite a small area for heavy snow!
  21. I really must stop checking the met office forecasts every half hour, they change all the time upgrades/ downgrades. I'm going from depression to euphoria and back again possibly I should just look out the window at the lamppost instead!
  22. Temps dropping, bitter wind. As Ned Stark would say "winter is coming"
  23. I love the anticipation of a snow event even more than the snow because unfortunately in my part of the world it never lives up to my expectation! But here's hoping for once it does!!
  24. Bbc forecast looking very good Tuesday and Wednesday for snow, if no downgrades in the morning probably another warning, hopefully more warranted than Saturdays!
  25. For once I might avoid the worst of the wind IMBY looks to be hitting a bit further south this time more likely to cause disruption!
