    Fergieweather still optimistic of high level blocking later in the month and January, I still think everyone is too pessimistic we might still see something good before the of January

    It's not all over yet, we don't want snow too early in december anyway, not great for lowland areas. Sure models have flipped again tonight to a possible easterly, will be different again in the morning

    Of course our economy is screwed, farming is so dependent on EU subsidies many will go under without them. How will we attract inward investment when we are outside the eu, we're now even more peripheral, everything will go south! Just as well the weather looks good at the moment. Or maybe not!

    No snow up here and barely any on the hills either. Not to insult any teachers on here, but they don't much of an excuse for a day off!

    In fact looking at the weather radar it's showing freezing rain south of Newry, so be careful on the roads!

    Looks like the meto have removed our last glimmer of hope for a cold spell in February!

    Wasn't expecting this, the ground is white and snowing heavily. Wet though, weather radar says rain!

    No change to earlier forecast, I have a feeling the usual suspects will get snow, but closer to sea level will have very little

    Very disappointed with the change in long range forecast from the met office. I was looking forward to a cold month ahead

    Maybe we should set up a support group for those who miss out on the snow. I'll be the founding member as it only gives rain on the north coast

    You must have some elevation inland because for the majority of us we won't see snow with -4 uppers!

    Looking at the models last night, Dublin and the Wicklow area seemed to have the lowest dew points and 2m temps of anywhere in Ireland so hopefully could do well in this set up
